Should have used these years ago. I had been using another brand. Easy to initially set up and worked great. But I moved and my Internet changed. Some would not connect to my new Internet and had to buy new. That Internet was terribly unreliable and always going out then then the plus would sometimes take days to reconnect and they kept giving us new routers meaning a whole new name and password and again the plugs wouldn’t connect. I got pick of buying new ones so I did some research and saw Kasa highly recommended so I decided to get them the next time I’d have an issue with what I was using. These things are great!! They work so good and so far and reset to new WiFi - we have changed the internet provider now and it’s way better. But so far love these Kasa plugs! I’ll keep using them!

I have tried many smart plugs over the years, and these are by far my favorite. They are extremely reliable and very responsive, which is not something I can say about most others I have owned. You can use either the Kasa app or the Tapo app. I personally prefer the Tapo app. It is fast, intuitive, and makes it very easy to turn devices on and off. I also use these heavily with Amazon Echo, and the responsiveness has been excellent. Setting up schedules is straightforward. You can schedule devices to turn on and off, automatically shut off after a set amount of time, or control them manually with almost no lag. Once set up, they just work. I have replaced all of my other smart plugs with these. I like them so much that I am now replacing my light switches with Kasa smart switches as well. Reliable, simple, and easy to live with.

These Kasa Smart Plug Minis are amazing little smart outlets, and I’ve ended up using them all over the house. We primarily use them for lamps on pre-programmed schedules, which makes the house look and feel occupied even when we’re away. They’ve also been great for seasonal decorations. I have several installed on our front porch (protected from the weather) powering holiday blow-up decorations in the yard, all running automatically on a schedule. One of our favorite uses is on the Christmas tree. Being able to simply ask Alexa to turn the tree on or off is one of those small conveniences that quickly becomes something you don’t want to live without. Setup is easy, reliability has been excellent, and the added features through the app provide a lot of value for the price. These smart plugs are a simple upgrade that genuinely improves everyday life.

Great plugs, easy to set up. Compatible with Alexa devices. It would be nice to be able to have several of them with the same name so I could ask Alexa to turn on lamps and all my lamps would go on… But I do it one at a time. It did just blow on me today, but this is several years of use. I'm not sure how dangerous it was. It does smell like an electrical fire, but nothing happened other than the plug stopped working.

This review is for a set of 4 - Kasa Smart Plug Mini 15A, Smart Home Wi-Fi Outlets that work with Alexa. I am so impressed. I have tried various smart lightbulbs etc. only to send them back in frustration because of the brain damage in setting them up, but these little plugs have restored my belief that 'smart' things actually do work! I read the instructions, as I always do, downloaded the Kasa app and plugged these in one at a time, giving each it's own name depending on what I wanted it to control. Viola! Every one of them worked, the first try! Hallelujah! It is so refreshing to just talk to my Alexa and ask for various things to turn on or off and it happens. I have also discovered that when I speak to Alexa I can run through asking it to turn on (or off) all of the objects and they all instantaneously turn on or off, rather than me having to say "Alexa - turn on...whatever.. for each individual thing. That is pretty sweet too, as I am obviously quite lazy. These should be very durable as they are well constructed. They are made with safety in mind and have a light that tells you their status. Control through Alexa is great, I can't say anything for their compatibility for use with other apps as I haven't tried them. I have NOT been able to dim a light that is controlled by this plug, however it could be user error on my part. They are quite boxy, and therefore they do stick out from the wall a bit, so whatever you plug in will also stick out, but that is a small price to pay for the capability they give. My only real complaint is that they control only one thing, but if you are looking for an easy to use smart outlet, I recommend these! I bought the smart power strip for an aquarium, and found these to be useful for my more low tech aquariums that just needed a light timer. Found them on sale and couldn’t pass it up. It has more smart home features than I care to use. One detail that is worth note is that it takes up space on a power strip so that every outlet would not be usable with this installed; the plug above it will fit a two prong and the one below will be blocked beyond usability.

I’ve been using the Kasa Smart Plug Mini for a while now and it’s been rock solid. Setup was quick and straightforward using the Kasa app, and it connected to Wi-Fi without any issues. Within minutes I had it integrated with Google Home. I did have to read the directions on how to integrate them with Google Home...which was annoying but it works! The plug is compact enough that it doesn’t block the second outlet, which is a big plus. I’m using it for lights that I don't want to have to redo electrical for to put on switches and have had no issues! Overall, this is an excellent smart plug for the price—simple, dependable, and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Highly recommended for anyone starting out with smart home devices or adding more automation.

Aunque es algo ancho, no sobresale de la tapa de los contactos, y sin embargo se pueden acomodar dos unidades, una por debajo de la otra, lo cual es un problema con los redondos que son los que mas abundan en el mercado. Además se integran fácilmente y su precio es accesible.

Es mejor comprar las extensiones por calidad y precio que los pequeños individuales. Ya que los pequeños seguido se desconfiguran y no vuelven a prender por alguna razón que desconozco y hay que desconectarlos y volverlos a conectar.

Me gusta mucho que son pequeños y caben perfectamente en un conector de pared y 2 se pueden colocar juntos sin problema ya que hay algunos que son redondos y no caben 2 en en la misma placa de la pared. Guardan el último estado si se va la luz, es decir si estaba encendido cuando se fue la luz cuando regresa la luz y el internet se vuelve a encender. Lo único que no trae es el sistema de notificaciones cuando cambia el estado de apagado a encendido y viceversa. Yo lo uso con Google Home y funciona de maravilla. Se agravan con la aplicación de kasa-smart . Uno de ellos lo tengo en el refrigerador y funciona de maravilla. Si son de 15 amp. Excelente compra
