The D-5.1300 amplifier is a beast! Audio control makes the most versatile and quality equipment available. I have done professional audio installations for years and have always recommended their equipment. The digital processors and amplifiers require a computer to set up and there may be a learning curve if you're not familiar with the different settings available but it's well worth the investment. The power rating is greatly under rated.

Pros: -Everything about this 5ch amp with fully integrated DSP is of great quality and if tuned correctly this system will deliver close to perfect sound quality. -customer service is slow to respond but the support tech is very knowledgeable and actually very helpful 👍 👌 Cons: -lack of instruction and learning curve can be very difficult for novice installers. -the optional RLC and BT adapter will run you another $200 for something that imo should be included with the flagship unit or atleast as a discounted add-on.

The product I received was defective. I've lost a lot money and it was difficult to tune when it did work for the first few weeks.

2nd time running this D-5.1300 for a simple but high sq system. I tried the EpicFive with the LC7 Pro but the DSP on this unit gives you the control necessary to create the perfect all-in-one system. Plus the clean look removing the extra cables for the LOC.

Not very clear as to how to set up this amp without the additional RTA listening kit - Sold Separately for a shiny penny. I’ve been doing car audio for 20+ years and never have I had the issues I’ve had with this particular amp. After everything is set up (from general knowledge and vague videos on youtube for this amp) the subwoofer channel is intermittent and will come in ‘boosted’ mid song, or cut itself down to a less than normal level. Resetting and backdating the firmware only lasts so long before it acts up again. Put the amp on a bench and re-tested - emitting static from channel 4 and wasn’t too long before the sub started acting up again. I contacted both Amazon and Crutchfield about this issue, I gave my solutions - as this is currently out of stock at both AudioControl and Crutchfield. All they want to do is push the issue onto AudioControl (which the amplifier does have a 5 year warranty) but which also leaves me without an integrated amplifier in my daily vehicle - so no warning chimes or music for me I guess. Very bad support for the end user being just a person and not a Car Stereo Shop, where they would give you a replacement until the repairs are made or the amp is deemed unrepairable.

Just got this to fix the the lack of low end bass my normal amp was putting out. My factory radio faded out everything below 40hz so the 30 band tuner was perfect I could bring back my 25-40 hz without blasting 60hz which was getting annoying. The computer app is a little hard at first but I got it figured out. Very easy to install and shipping was super fast. If you have the money, it’s the best option for a 5 channel setup

I've been a big fan of Audio Control and have installed 4-5 of the D5.1300. The power is amazing and the tuning software is thorough. This is the first amp I had stop producing sound. I've run tests on it and it is just bricked. It won't even connect to the software. Now I learned that the seller isn't an authorized dealer, so I'm out 100% of the money.

Overall I love this amp. It’s amazing and sounds great however it has one flaw I can’t stand. The flaw is that you can’t disable the crossovers and you can’t set them lower than 25hz. While I understand that it may help protect your speakers and subs from ultra low frequency damage I would still like the option to play 10hz from my sub without the crossover getting in the way. But in normal use with music it’s perfectly fine. The amp has amazingly clean sound. Highly recommended. Also there’s no reason you couldn’t run a second amp for the sub but it does kinda defeats the purpose of this amp. Also the seller is not authorized by audio control so if you have any issues with the amp audio control will not warranty the amp at all. Be aware of this.
