Just pulled it from the box and set it up in a new device I like to call a focus for Omni-directional devices (really just a popcorn can, works great when you know where you are connecting to. The driver on the disk works fine for this one, had trouble with the original 36H model. The software snapped into action and found THE ONLY 2 hot spots in the area, I know from experience, it's just the two. I think it is funny that I am connected at high speeds, yet the Vista network icon is unaware that a connection has been made, this may be corrected after restarting, but it is irrelevant, just funny. I am at least a football field away from the hot spot and am hitting 7 Mbps, and I haven't even tweaked the setup yet. Thank you DB Roth for sharing great products for such low prices, and thank you Alfa for making products far superior than the regular brands. To all the people saying that the original 36H model is superior, you are wrong, from what I can tell so far, they are even in area, but this one holds high because it can connect to N networks, the new standard of high speed, and you might also want to note that this one is barely more expensive. And just so you know, I own both, but the network I use only broadcasts in N right now, so that's why I had to upgrade. I will be putting it to the full test soon, PS3 online, Killzone 2, and will add to my review tomorrow when I have had a chance to really push it. And in reality, they are both at least well over $50 under the price you would pay if a retailer was selling it. Just try to find a Belkin or Linksys product for the same price that can come close, call me when you finally give up. Update Tx power is only at 50% and I am getting 9 Mbps download on Speedtest.net, no lag issues and am even picking up on other G networks that I hadn't been able to see with the original 36H model, most of them seem temporary and weak, but I believe with the proper grid antenna, I could snag great connections. I also like this software better than the other one, the other one regularly gave me trouble and needed reinstalling more than it should have. This is the best adapter I have ever seen with my own eyes. Review: Works as is. - Out of the box works with Windows 7 x64, and Backtrack 4 R1 (vmware), I didn't even have to install the drivers just plug and play. Picked up 9 more access points then the stock wireless (Intel Wireless 4965AGN) in my laptop. I don't have any other usb adaptor to compair it to but I am going to buy the Alfa AWUS036H 1000mW to compair it with this one, also I do need 1 more wireless adaptor. I bought this mostly to pentest with Backtrack 4, and it works great with it. I only tried it on BT4 R1 wmware, I have not tried it with others. Also I bought this after reading this from alfa's website. "This AWUS036NH vs. Alfa's popular AWUS036H 802.11g adapter: We have compared this model to the 1-watt AWUS036H adapter from Alfa. This model pulled in more signals than the AWUS036H. However the AWUS036H was getting stronger signals to many of the access points both could detect. Not a great deal stronger, but enough to indicate the AWUS036H 1-watt adapter has a better receive sensitivity for 802.11g networks. The AWUS036H is only 802.11g standard though, whereas this AWUS036NH is 802.11n standard and can get longer ranges and faster speeds when used with 802.11n standard access points. Because 802.11n is a newer standard, many of the access points around you (in neighborhoods or places you travel) will still be 802.11g. However over the next year, many technology publications indicate that a high number of people and businesses will be upgrading their wireless networks to 802.11n to meet the growing need for faster speeds. The AWUS036NH will work with these new 802.11n signals as they begin to spring up everywhere, and will work with them better and faster than the AWUS036H and other long range Wi-Fi products on the market today. If you are trying to decide between the AWUS036H and the AWUS036NH, what it boils down to is how you want to use the product. If you plan on using mostly with 802.11g signals and are trying to get the strongest signal strengths, the AWUS036H may be the best option. If you are trying to get the best range, or will be using with 802.11n access points, the AWUS036NH is the best option. " I hope this will help someone else out.

Works really well and I get a solid connection in the outer reaches of my wifi. No need to install drivers for it for either Windows 10 or Kali Linux

Es de lo mejor en el mercado, capta bastante bien las seƱales de alrededor...

The stock USB cable came broken. No big deal for me, i have a tons of these. But he took me 2 hours to undertand that problem. After i fix this, Extreme Long Range, i recieve SSID over 400 feet. On windows 10, just plug this on your computer and windows 10 will install everything. Ready to use in less than 20 secondes. After that, i setup this card to work with my Kali Linux. I made 3 WPS pixie-dust attack easly. Packet injection work find. I got a couple positive handshake. I recommend this card for penetration.

No funciona en Windows 10, mas sin embargo lo detecto en Kali en VM sin tener que instalar ni un driver (probablemente depende que Kali instales en tu VM). Que era exactamente para eso que lo queria
