A cute Raspberry Pi robot. According to the provided assembly instructions foldout, you can put it together quickly. One point to note is that before assembling the servo, you need to zero the servo first, which is a bit of a pain in the ass, there is no way to assemble the robot at once and then run the code. But it seems that all servos require this step in the process, so just do it.You can get a full tutorial online, no paper instructions. That's okay in this day and age.I tested the examples in both languages. The graphical programming is easy for beginners to understand, but too simple for people with some experience, so I tried the Python example. python example is the same as graphical programming, but you can see the internal structure, so you can easily expand it.Also their online tutorials provide an agent, which can run commands or code on the web, which is quite convenient, but you have to remember to open the agent.Overall, I am quite satisfied with this Raspberry Pi robot, and it would be better if the battery is provided.

I was having issues getting the servos to zero out. I reached out to them a year latter mind you, and they got back to me within a day! They told me what to do and I’m back on my way. I wish more companies did that.Thanks Sunfounder for being a good seller and having integrity!

My son and I had fun building this kit. Unfortunately, one of the servos arrived dead. I took it apart and one of the wires had broken away from the solder joint. Fortunately, it was an easy fix and I didn’t have to wait for a replacement. My son has been having fun with the example programs, and is starting to experiment with customizing some of his own. I do wish it had more sample code for simple movements, etc.. Overall, I am pretty happy with the purchase. Be aware that you need your own raspberry pi and 2x 18650s for this kit to function. The description wasn’t very clear about that, in my opinion.UPDATELowering to 3 starts because one of the servos (not the one that had the wiring issue from the factory) failed within the first week of use.

Excellent weekend project and more! Couldn’t get it to work with my Apple phone, but connected with an android device fine. Haven’t figured out why. Be ready for all the tiny parts and screws! Best to have a work mat with a magnetic strip in it or similar. Pretty good docs, too!

It was easy and fun to set up this robot! However, while debugging the bot, I encountered a few problems. I contacted Sunfounder and they responded promptly. After that, their customer service answered some of my questions, which I greatly appreciated. There is no doubt in my mind that I would recommend this product to anyone.

Robot came with defective ultra sonic sensor. Directions are not real clear when connecting the wiring could use more diagrams or text to help others with wiring.

I found this engaging for kids as a DIY robot. I let them build this totally on their own and they took few days to complete it. User manual can have more detailed instruction. Video instruction helped. Robot parts are built from metal and are sturdy. I am positive that kids will have many more hours of fun playing/coding this DIY robot

The chassis seems like is made of mental which is a really good improvement to me. Also the kit includes a screw driver is a plus. The overall assembly experience is not that hard, but the manual can be improved. But anyway I also saw a video instruction which makes things easier.
