Unfolding and folding the chair takes some strength. It is a straightforward process. You don't need directions to fold or unfold it, but it does take some real effort. And that is my only "complaint" about the product. I am a hefty person and have broken a few outdoor chairs just by sitting on them. This chair? That won't happen. I sat down on it and it barely gave at all. It is very sturdy. The side table is easy to set up and let down. I have put several drinks and some gardening tools on it and it held just fine. There is a weight limit to the side table but I find it very reasonable for my use. Is this the prettiest chair? No. It is a decent looking chair that operates better than you would think. The fabric material is both comfortable and sturdy. The chair seat is "deep" enough front to back and if you want you could tuck a leg under you just fine. The back support is better than any outside folding chair I've ever used. The chair is wide. Both myself and my daughter can sit on it side by side. She even bounced on it to check to see if it would hold. No problem. I have flopped down on it twice now and each time I realized half way through that I shouldn't be doing that. The chair held just fine. The chair is heavy. Read the product details. I was surprised by how much it weighed. Personally, the weight is well worth the sturdiness.

Chairs great size 6 ft 4 heavy set this chair is comfortable in size for me it's solid and sturdy and it even has a table to hold a can of soda or beer and I wouldn't put anything else on it heavier than a small book my candle sits on it without collapsing it but it seems weak and cheap other than that it's pretty good it's got a couple of bags to put things in so overall it's a great little chair for camping or what have you I actually carry it with me when I have to leave my truck for a service and I use this so that I can go sit out and read my book or listen to music or whatever out of the tiny cramped waiting room if it lasts as good as it looks like it will this will be a chair that I can use for many years and many camping trips definitely not for backpacking or walk-in campsites this is big heavy chair throw it in your car

When one has suffered the public humiliation of being a fat (425lb) man and ones chair collapses in a pile of twisted unsalvageable metal - a quest for a full proof portable solution ends with this chair. Now the definition of portable is critical here. If you have a SUV or an RV this FOLD Flat chair works and is portable within a 100 yards of the vehicle. If you are going hiking or travelling in to a site on foot this wont do - no packing sack or straps to mount it on ones back. Again at 22 lbs this is heavy. Heavy duty sadly means heavy but I trust this chair will not collapse and is obviously built for a person of size. Purportedly up to 600lbs. I think it would frankly. Two areas that need consideration after having used it both indoors and outdoors; the edges of the seat at the front your legs may or may not make contact with the cross structure which I mitigated with a little copper water pipe insulation wrap so I feel foam instead of pipe on the backs of my legs. The pouch if used and it is useful, does not have any padding for the arm rest, the padding on the right armrest to thin. While having a solid arm rest makes exiting the chair far easier than just draped cloth, it isn't the most comfortable for an extended sit. The size of the tube wrap around on the left arm pouch doesn't allow for the Velcro's closure if some thin foam was wrapped around the arm. I was thinking of carving out a pool noodle to provide that padding but there were some office chair arm rest foamy things on Amazon I'm going to try first and are removeable. Final Verdict - regardless seems this chair should repel future enforcement of the law of gravity - and loss of dignity and is comfortable enough - for now!

If you are self conscious about "fat-people" sized furniture then you won't like this chair as it scream "fat person chair". But if you are comfortable with yourself and want something that won't make you feel like it's defying the laws of physics everytime you sit down, this is the chair for you!! Would be nice if a future model had a slightly higher seat back for us taller folks (6'3). It's A+ in construction and quality. Yes it's expensive, but it's less expensive than the medical and therapy bills resulting from uber-crushing a $25 set of "tent poles and canvas."

I do like this chair VERY much. But in all honesty it does have some issues. *** PROS: *** This product is a ROCK. I can flop my 240 lbs on this chair with absolutely NO movement. The arms are crazy strong too and well positioned. Unlike my LAZ Y BOY, I can easily climb out of this chair without the use of my cane. I really like width of this chair that allows for relaxed sitting without any crowding at my hips or knees. The flip up side table works reasonablly well, though in my opinion it could be a bit sturdier. *** CONS: *** A lot of reviewers have raved about the comfort of this product. But let's face it. A bare bones frame chair is not going to be nearly as comfortable as a heavily padded recliner or sofa. Yes...the seat on this chair is reasonably well padded, but personnally I can't find much comfort on this seat after an hour or two. Though it doesn't bother me, my brother has soreness in his legs. The support cross bars at the front of the seat irritate his calves without the use of a foot stool. I have shorter legs which, as others have noted, hinders my ability to slide all the way to the back. As a result, I can't sit fully upright without a back support. I'm currently looking at a variety of lumbar supports which should alleviate this problem and provide a decent headrest when I'm napping. Yes...there is a trade off for all this strength. This product is a real load for a senior with a bad back. Though it would be a significant investment, TIMBER RIDGE makes a very nice collapsible wagon that would easily carry this chair, a cooler and a variety of other necessities for a day at the beach. If your looking for a VERY ROBUST chair for the deck, campsite, or beach, or if you are in need of extra guest seating in your home...you have definately found it. This beast isn't perfect, but it does offer a nearly indestructible platform that will safely support a wide variety of body types.
