OXO Good Grips 5.0 Qt POP Large Cookie Jar - Airtight Food Storage- for Cookies and More

Purchased for my mother, who struggles with opening sealed containers (don't we all). She uses it for cookies and her previous cookie har had a bad seal. She loves the new cookie jar. It fits well in her kitchen. It seals easily and opens with a push of the big button. Cookies stay fresh much longer. Great product at a reasonable price.

After waiting for two weeks for a cookie jar from a competitor only to have my order cancelled without explanation, I grabbed this one. Honestly, I was pretty bummed that I wasn’t getting the jar I originally picked. Then this gem arrived and changed my mind! This is way larger than I envisioned. The large sized 5 quart model holds forty-eight (yes, 48!) three inch cookies. Another reviewer said they didn’t love that it takes two hands to open/close, but you really only need one hand. (Or maybe I’m just ultra cookie savvy?) The opening is generous, making it very easy to fill/empty/clean. I love that the design lets it sit tilted forward for easier access. It also has a silicone band on the bottom so it won’t scratch surfaces or get knocked over. But the best part is how incredibly fresh & soft your cookies will stay! You simply press the button on top, which creates an air tight seal. Press the button again (which pops out the button that now doubles as a handle) to remove the lid. Then you just sit the lid back on top (no twisting or turning needed) and press the freshness sealing button to close. This jar is perfect for cookies, chips, pretzels, etc. I’m actually going to buy another for my laundry detergent pods. Absolutely love it!

With much sadness, I have to say there is no picture of this in action because the chocolate truffles that I filled it with are gone. I swear, I had just ONE. But for the brief time it was full, it kept the chocolates fresh and safe from rolling all over the counter. Same thing when it was filled with Easter Candy. OXO products are always very well made and a good value. I have the whole set of three sizes (all of which are empty at the moment — must be a chocolate shortage or something).

Kids and adults can fit their entire hands inside, which is great for cookie grabbing and for washing out between batches. The pop lid is very satisfying.

Over the past 30+ years that I've had Irish Setters I've lost count of the number of different jars and cannisters that I've purchased to hold their biscuits. They were either ugly or cumbersome to open and close or were just too small to hold a decent amount of their large biscuits without taking up a lot of counter space. After all these years I've finally found the perfect containers!! They're a snap to open and close with just one hand, they're keeping the biscuits nice and fresh/crunchy, they don't take up a lot of space and they look really nice on my countertop. I bought the large jar (5 quarts) for their large biscuits and it holds a LOT of them, and the medium jar (3 quarts) is perfect for storing the medium size biscuits they get at bed time. I buy their biscuits in bulk so both of these POP jars will be saving me lots of trips to my 20-pound containers to refill them (closely supervised by my 2 red fools, of course). I would recommend OXO's POP jars with no reservations ... they're great!!

Questi contenitori della Oxi sono davvero ottimi sotto ogni punto di vista: mantengono biscotti, farina, riso ecc...perfettamente e sono molto pratici sia come manutenzione che come utilizzo. Questo in particolare ha anche il fondo antiscivolo e la mano entra agevolmente dentro il contenitore per una corretta pulizia. Sono belli e funzionali e ci sono tantissime misure per ogni esigenza. Si lavano a mano perché altrimenti si opacizzano, ma non è un problema...preso ad un ottimo prezzo (21,86 €), infatti l'unico difetto che hanno è il costo, ma ne vale la pena! Amazon perfetto come sempre nella spedizione velocissima.

Not entirely air tight but still serviable, just don't expect to keep deadly airborne viruses in their or anything it's not that sort of container, the quick release lid is just to keep things fresh, i store all my cookies and biscuits in it, they never go soft or stale and I store them for weeks.

El cierre es perfecto. Se abre y cierra con una sola mano (un dedo en realidad). Cierra tan bien que se puede coger el bote lleno por el tapón y no se separa. La boca de entrada es muy grande. Cabe una mano perfectamente. Es muy cómodo meter y sacar cosas. Estamos encantados. Creo que repetiremos otros productos con este sistema de cierre en el futuro. Recomendable para todo el mundo.
