Way better than price shows!! kinda heavy, get a good boom arm, trust me.
Should be much more expensive, $50 range is too cheap. Excellent build quality, great sound quality. Proper shock mount, made from metal, no plastic at all. Even though I gave it 5 star, be warned it's kinda heavy. It's also very sensitive. And may require steeper learning curve to optimize its almost true pro level quality. But if you know what your doing somewhat, you'll love it at $50ish

Great buy for beginners
Marantz is, for all intensive purposes, a professional audio company. Please understand that this microphone is solely meant for entry level consumption. That being said, this microphone is great in a lot of ways, and doesn't really fall short anywhere for the price. The build is all aluminum, which will provide solid and rigid integrity. This microphone is a condenser microphone, and will require an audio interface with 48v phantom power in order to operate. From what I can tell, the advertised specs are spot on. It has crystal clear audio in the mid ranges, and a good range of frequency. Low/bass sounds are a little dry, and higher frequencies like those from a flute are also a bit empty sounding, but not to a degree where they distort or lose their identity. The microphone has a good weight to it, and all the added periferals are of good quality. They all feel well constructed and work as one would expect. While the mic has a good hefty feeling, it is a bit lighter than higher prices microphones. The best use case for this microphone would definitely be for voice. This would be great for podcasts, light midrange vocals, and in my case, narration and reporting. It would also be the best mic for gaming or streaming for the price. It is a solid entry level product and I look forward to personally testing their higher quality products as my career grows. TL;DR - would I recommend it? Yes, yes I would.

Sound quality is remarkable.
I tested it with FocusRite Scarlett 2i2. I plugged it into the XLR input, and then turned 48V Phantom Power button on, which is required for the condenser microphone to work. The silence is pure, when you don't talk or sing or breathe into the mic. The sound quality is remarkable. It makes your own voice sound so clear and detailed, that it builds your confidence while singing. I was directly monitoring the recording on the headphones plugged into the Audio Interface = Scarlett 2i2, so there is zero latency, which is a must for the performer to have feedback of his/her voice without any delay.. The microphone doesn't pick up the street noises or even the rain just 1 meter behind me. The ceiling fan doesn't cause any noise or interference either. The laptop electronic components also have no interference on the recorded sound. I used the included XLR cable, and I don't even think you need to buy a better XLR cable. The mini tripod is not the best, but it can hold the microphone on the table once you balance it with the leg running next to the cable (consider buying a desk mountable arm straight away). The included wind foam cover also works very well, it eliminated any wind noise, and also reduced the breathing in sound (you need to move your head away from the mic when you take a breathe during performance). I am extremely satisfied with the quality of this reasonably priced microphone. It is not exaggerated to use the word PRO in its name.

Fit the bill perfectly!
This unit came in factory sealed packaging and in good condition. All listed accessories were included as well as a spec sheet and safety info. Mic and accessories were safely packed in their sleeves in a foam drawer. Setup was quick and easy. Additional visual examination very satisfactory. I been trying to get the best signal in the studio out of my Dynamics for too long. Pulled the trigger and went for this Marantz Condenser unit because the price was very appealing, and I have some experience with Marantz products since the '70's. To say I'm pleased is an understatement! Once set up with only minor distance adjustment to the guitars (Nylon and Steel String) and my Mandolin I'm now getting serious about recording.

Exceptional sound quality
Excellent sound quality and clarity. Bought for podcasting- only drawback is if you don’t have dedicated room, it will pick up every little sound in the house- that is a quality of condenser mics in general. High build and sound quality!

Very good mic!!!
It's a very well mic for it's price, it's very clear and it requires 48v phantom power to work so make sure yall get a interface otherwise from that very good mic, I definitely recommend it!!!

Great mic for the price point, garbage stand/shock mount.
This mic sounds really nice, it’s relatively quiet for a pretty inexpensive xlr condenser as far as hum/noise goes. We got this to replace a really cheap wireless microphone for a karaoke setup at home. The difference going to xlr with phantom power is pretty staggering, it’s makes your voice sound crystal clear. It doesn’t make you sing any better, but as long as you can make good sounds with your voice or instrument, it will record them with acceptable accuracy. Microphones are not a piece of equipment you can generally skimp on, but if you’re like me and aren’t necessarily looking to win a grammy award, but just make nice sounding music, this microphone could be for you. I’m not an audio engineer for a record label, I paid $50 for this mic and I think it sounds nice. I’ve got compliments from others who like the way it captures their voice. I have previously spent more money on mics that don’t sound this good. Overall, it’s a $50 microphone and I think that’s a great value for how well it sounds. Is it gonna compete with a $750 microphone? No idea, but I’d never spend that much anyway. For karaoke and fantastic sounding home recordings, I’m very happy. Oh, I almost forgot, the desktop stand/shock mount is very poorly designed, falls over all the time. It’s just not a wide enough or heavy enough of a base to keep this upright. For me that’s not a dealbreaker the mic itself sounds great, I’ll glue the base of the stand to a brick or something.
