Great machine, easy to setup and use!
I'm very much a novice at sewing but this machine is easy to setup and use. The instructions are a bit vague, but there are plenty of YT videos available to give you a better feel of how it operates. I use this for alterations and it plows through a denim hem without hesitation. The threading and bobbin loading are very straightforward and the multiple stitches it sews, are easy to set up. I'm very pleased with this machine.

Good machine for the money
Love this sewing machine! I grew up on a 1972 and was afraid of how much of a difference it might be but it was rather easy learning to thread and getting to be used. I haven’t used it for anything heavy duty like leather but it has gone through some pretty thick quilting materials.

Excellent sewing machine. Perfect stitching.
The sewing machine sews spectacularly. The only issue is that the needle used to be on the left when sewing. I opened it up and found a loose screw; tightening it fixed the needle's position, right in the middle. Yes I do recommend it 💯%. Excellent machine.

When purchased on Amazon
These machines are mass produced and the machines well oiled gears dry up and get gummy. I've purchased 6 machines in the last 15 years. 5 Singer brand and one Viking. I say 5 Singer but I returned 2 due to damage from Amazon shipping. My first Singer was so long ago and $75 on black Friday at JoAnn Fabrics. It was great for sewing 1 cosplay each month for 4 years. My husband gifted me a husquva Viking H class E20 from Robert Sewing Center, it was great for 3 dresses and a costume each month for 6 years with 4 cleaning and oiling services. I needed an upgrade a this point and a second machine since I didn't like waiting inbetween servicing (2-3 week wait- I did get it back once within a week it was so busy with work, I couldn't pick it up for another week and a half). I got my second Singer | Heavy Duty 4432 Sewing Machine, purchased on Amazon, in April 2017. It was a work horse and I loved it. I had it serviced by Robert Sewing Center and Friends and Family Vaccumm Center. I tried patching a thick fleece blanket my rabbits tore through and something in the machine snapped half way through when I looked away, I was going to take it in but at this point I thought it would be a good idea to get a newer model as it would be the same price to take it in and have it fixed. My third Singer Heavy Duty 4452 Sewing Machine, purchased on Amazon, in June 21 2019, worked like a dream for 3 months. I had a baby and made a new baby outfit every week. I thought it could handle light weight baby clothes. ... The box was damaged when I got it but didn't feel like returning it asap if it worked. The reverse was jammed end of October 2019. The cost to fix it was more than the machine so I contacted Singer and Amazon and had it returned to Amazon- restocking fee. I have a long rant about that and how rebates work but that is for another post. I then purchased SINGER | Heavy Duty 4423 Sewing Machine, my 4th Singer via Amazon on November 2019. At this point, I am now a stay at home mom and wanted to use the Amazon credit I had left from the 1st return. The box was scruffed up and the styrofoam came out in a pieces. I tested it out to see if it was worth replacing with the same item and it worked well enough. I think it was dropped because after sewing two baby outfits, there was a rattling. So i had it replaced the following week. My replacement SINGER | Heavy Duty 4423 Sewing Machine was not damaged upon arrival and worked like a dream. However, once looking in the bobbin case, I saw that there were chunks of linty old oil that were rubbery and ... It was just chunky bits mixed with not that much lint. Almost looked like I put it through a year worth of sewing without a cleaning. I purchased some singer oil and cleaned it up. I didn't want to return it and get another machine with gummy oil. Last week (month into sewing a dress shirt, two PJ pants) a dress I was making out of lightweight jersey knit was sucked into the machine (my fault) and knocked the timing out of wack. Which btw, is annoying to fix, need metric Allen key wrenches, not USA inch ones, to get to the bottom of this singer. Size 2.5mm key wrench. Becareful not to strip the screw. Had to run to Home Depot to purchase new 5mmx 5mm set screw socket crown bolt. Video how to fix timing: https://youtu.be/-QFd7eC-1LI My husband has asked if I was the common problem with all the trouble with each machine but they were all different problems and with the internet and handbook. I am a wiz at trouble shooting and caring for my sewing machine and am quick to admit it was my fault (like when the tension and stich issues, those I can fix as I go). I am thinking for my next machine, I will have to go to a Singer store to purchase a singer machine so the warranty is wroth it. It just going to suck to have to go back to that store if any issues come up. The closest one is an hour away and in the city with parking... A baby. It's just not ideal. I hope this review is helpful... I like SINGER, was thinking of Husqvarna Viking or even Brother has good reviews but I am 5 deep with Singer and know most of their machine issues and their fixes. Hate to have to adapt it to another type of manufacturer.

Amazing Power and Reliability!
I absolutely love my Singer Heavy Duty 4432! It’s a powerful and reliable machine that handles thick fabrics like denim and canvas with ease. The motor is strong and fast, yet the machine runs smoothly and isn’t too loud. I’ve sewn everything from tote bags to clothing, and it hasn’t let me down once. Threading is simple, the automatic needle threader is super helpful, and the stitch options are just what I need for both basic and creative projects. I also appreciate the metal frame—it feels sturdy and built to last. Whether you’re a beginner or more experienced, this machine is a great investment. Highly recommended!

I love the clear bobbin window so I can keep track ...
Old habits die hard. I am a stay at home seamstress and do arts and crafts show at least once a month. I was sewing hours a day on my old faithful Singer 247 until the timing needed to be readjusted. I had used this machine for the past 20 years and was very hardheaded about giving it up. Not saying I won’t fix my original one, gifted to me by my grandmother on Christmas morning when I was 11, because I certainly will, and will eventually teach my daughter how to sew on it as I learned. I decided finally to upgrade to something a little fancier as my business is continually growing. I don’t know how I sewed this long without this machine. It is a workhorse and a half. I chose this model based on the heavy duty description, as I really do sew for hours a day. Other reviews complained a little about the noise, but it is whisper quiet compared to my old tank. I love the clear bobbin window so I can keep track of my thread. The LED light is also very nice and the seam allowances are stamped onto the plate with fractions. As you can tell, I am used to sewing on a very old machine, so all these little upgrades are a huge deal to me. I haven’t sat down to figure out the automatic threader yet as I was super excited to get to work on this thing. The buttonhole option is easy to use and makes beautiful buttonholes. I’m looking forward to exploring the various stitch options. My only regret is not paying more attention to the differences between the models. I probably would have bought the 4452 to be able to have the extra accessories and feet included in that package, and now I have most of them on my wish list to get for Christmas. I am extremely happy with this machine and would recommend it to any sewist looking for a good, dependable machine. I call it my 247 from the future. Do not hesitate to buy this machine!

Download the manual when you order it. It doesn't come with the product. My old heavy duty one was being serviced and taking longer than expected. I had stuff to finish so was eagerly awaiting delivery of the upgraded one. I downloaded the manual the day it arrived and stressed myself out regarding the printer instead of zooming off and completing my project. That said I love this machine. But it doesn't like cheap needles so get Singer ones. Worth every penny.
