Works as expected. Good adhesion. Works great with enterprise hard drives, 1/8in wide tape covers the 3.3v power disable pins perfectly.

Shucked (6) 10TB Easystores for my new Plex build and wanted to avoid the molex adapters so I decided to do the Kapton tape fix. I will say, it was a little difficult to cut just right as it's just a bit wider than what it needs to be. I basically cut a strip and placed it on a scrap piece of plastic and cut that strip in half vertically. Then I cut it down to size crossways and placed it on the appropriate pin. Ensured tape was secure and tested it on my HDD dock first. Once I saw it was working, I loaded it into the new Plex PC and did that with remainder of drives. No issues at all. If you shuck those Easystore drivers, this a must have. Highly recommend.

I don't see many reviews on this even though I expect people would use these a lot for the WD drives. Width exactly covers the 3 3.3V pins without invading the 4th pin. Only needed a few mm so the rest is a waste, wish I could have a cheaper and shorter tape, otherwise it works perfectly. I'm sure if there's a 1-2 yard tape for $1-2, people would still buy it for shucking the WD Whites.

Used it to disable the 3.3v pin on some shucked hard drives. 1/8" is the perfect size to cover the pins and the adhesive is sticky enough. Now what to do with the rest of the tape roll..

I purchased the Kapton Tape for a white board that is utilized in work every day. This saves me time because I do not have to redraw the lines each time the board has to be cleaned. This was one of the few places that I was able to find tape thin enough for my purpose. The tape can be flimsey, but works well. The vendor delivered on time, will purchase additional items if needed, and highly recommend them.
