The Beatles: The Illustrated Lyrics

I already had this book at my house and my uncle looked at it and fell in love, so I ordered it for him for his birthday. Both of us are Beatles lovers. I used to come to my grandpa’s house and sit at my uncle’s room on the floor and listen to the singles on his phonograph. It only had one song on each side. Of course he had the medium and full size vinyls too. That was so exciting for me - holding a Beatles record. The book itself came earlier than expected, so I could give it to him at the right time. The copy was good and he enjoys it very much. Thank you!

O livro superou as minhas expectativas, principalmente em relação à qualidade do papel. As ilustrações são em sua maioria boas e combinam bem com as respectivas letras. O único caso em que o resultado ficou ruim foi em Penny Lane, pois além da ilustração escolhida ser bem sem graça ela prejudica a legibilidade das letras. Infelizmente nem tudo é perfeito. O livro contém apenas as músicas autorais dos Beatles, sendo assim as letras dos primeiros álbuns estão pela metade. O livro também omite as letras do George e do Ringo após o Magical Mystery Tour. Sendo assim, o White Album, Abbey Road e Let it Be também não estão completos.

A great book, my wife absolutely loved it.

This was a gift for a friend with limited English and ot was perfect. Conveying lots of information in an easy to understand format of words and pictures. My friend was delighted with the book.

I have now bought three of these books, one for myself and two for others, as 70th birthday presents for male and female. It is lovely and colourful and wonderful to have all the lyrics. I am sure all ages of Beatles fans would love it. I certainly do.
