I played this game years ago at my buddy's house and loved it. Of course, as a s Star Wars fan, I'd like it somewhat, right? Eventually I got my own PS2, and Battlefront II was the first game I bought for it. Improved graphics, actual space flight, but pretty much the same game with many enhancements. Then I wondered "where the hell is Bespin?" Why wasn't I fighting on my favorite SW planet, in Cloud City? Did I dream that it was in the first one? I did an image search for the original Battlefront, then found it here on Amazon for cheap. Even thought it's missing some of the game play enhancements like more accurate targeting, space flight, and sprinting, this game is totally addictive. About half of the maps are the same as the sequel, but there are so many beautiful worlds to play on, especially Bespin Platforms and Cloud City itself. There's no space flight, but there are plenty of ships and vehicles to drive, especially for the Clone Wars fans who miss using the LAAT/i's to their full gunship capacity. This is a must-have game for Star Wars and action game fans.

Battlefront needs to make a comeback. Where is the battlefront game for PS3 that was promised?! it never came. and now PS4 is out .... This was by-far my favorite game on PS2. It had the best maps. I liked Battlefront 2 also, the maps weren't as good as BF1, but i liked that they added the ability to sprint, change classes while you are at a base, and the engineers who can repair vehicles like a beast. The fact that it is a great co-op and a great split screen game, and you can play against bots. I miss the simple days where you could play a game without having to deal with anyone online, or hosting, or dealing with a bad connection ("dude, i was lagging the whole game"). pure, simple fun. oh, and did I mention that it's star wars? yeah. ...... COME BACK .... =(
