Did the trick! Surprisingly simple and effective to use. Like others said, instructions are vague. We practiced with a piece of cardboard prior to actually using to understand the mechanics and placing. Also-yes- the back should be placed into the gun so the earring has something to hold onto after it’s through, but both times I’ve used it it has grabbed only moderately well so I had to reconnect the back. I did super sanitize the earrings and backs with some rubbing alcohol prior to use to fingers crossed no infections!

This worked great for us. The initial studs you use to pierce with are the plain ones so not quite as cute as a diamond look, but they work. I docked a star because there aren’t really any instructions besides what’s on the back of the box. It’s easy enough but there are some extra bits in the box that we have no idea what they are. The little marker included to help with alignment didn’t really work either. All-in-all, it gets the job done.

You must make sure the back is loose in the gun or it will get stuck. Otherwise it works perfectly.

Wish this would of fit the diamond earrings it just fits the studs

I got this to here's my daughter's ears and the ear and backs got stuck in the gun and it was a really horrible experience for my daughter. This product sucks. It doesn't come with instructions other than what's on the box and it doesn't want to release the earring after it's in your ear

I bought this because my ears had closed up. I hadn't worn earrings in years (at least ten) but wanted to again. I looked at several piercing guns on Amazon and settled on this because it had good ratings and looked easy to use. I was really nervous, I'll admit it. I couldn't do it myself because it's just too hard for me to try to hold the gun and turn my head to see it in the mirror, but my teenage granddaughter happily volunteered. We went to do it, and I chickened out. I said I'd just go to Claire's and have them do it. Then I saw how much the cheapest piercing kit was and got brave enough to let my granddaughter do it. Money makes the most cowardly person brave hahaha. Anyway, while I was definitely nervous, I let her do it and it was over in no time. There was no pain from the piercing, and only mild pain immediately after (which I quickly got rid of with some antibacterial numbing spray). That was less than an hour ago and I don't feel any discomfort or anything. I feel like a fool for being scared. Forget the reviews complaining about a lack of instructions. No, there aren't any instructions in the box, but there's a video and instructions on this page. That's all we used. We didn't YouTube any videos to watch or anything. It's really incredibly easy. And I love that there's cubic zirconia studs of several sizes for when the piercing heals. If I had chosen the piercing kit with the 5mm cubic zirconia studs at Claire's, it would have cost me around $50. With this kit, I got sizes from 3mm to 8mm (which are too large for me, but still). I don't have to buy earrings after the piercings heal, and I'm able to take out the piercing studs and wear normal earrings. I can't say how happy I am that I purchased this and then mustered enough bravado to go through with it. If you're unsure like I was, trust me - it's quick, easy, and doesn't hurt near what you might think it would.
