Honest review, great scanner
Most honest review here, i bought it with my own money. This is an amazing scanner. I’ve used some really good ones, I upgraded from an Icon T7 to this and am amazed by the functionality and accuracy of this scanner. Way better than the Icon T7 IMO. More service tests and functions. I’ve used top dollar scanners as well and this is up with them. Obviously not as good, it is wired and it can use A rubber case if there’s one available. But overall review, amazing tool. It does cost $125 USD a year but comes with one year free. It said two, but it’s one year free. Update it as soon as you get it there will be about 80 updates and takes about an hour. Scans every type and model automotive. 10/10 recommend. Great value, good size / weight, easy to use if you know what you’re doing. Other than the update being slow, it is very quick to diagnose a car. Plug and play, takes about 30-40 seconds to scan. I searched for two weeks to find a good scanner. This review is so that you can skip what I did. It’s a great tool for professionals or advanced techs diy or whatever. Not for beginner techs or someone without knowledge of automotive until you learn more. This tool is great, can’t say it enough. Very surprised with all the tests you can run on this thing.

Best bang for your buck especially compared to scanners 10X in price!
Ive been a mechanic for 6 years, three out of eight mechanics at my shop own this and use it day in and day out on shop equipment and side jobs. Worth every penny! I was sold after I saw the price difference between this and the Snap-On scan tool. Perfect tool for the backyard mechanic or professional who wants something easy to use, simple to navigate. Great for monitoring live date and stores codes to perform diagnostics. Just an absolute dream to operate and super functional!

A must have for your shade tree mechanic/professional technician!
This scan tool, in my opinion, is an excellent advanced piece of equipment! If you are a do it yourselfer, or a maintenance garage owner/technician this, is an absolute must have. I've had this scanner for about two weeks and I have absolutely fell in love with it, because, I have not only found problems with my cars in issues not heard of before to my knowledge, but a ton of diagnostic time and effort had been effortlessly applied to getting my car and my neighbor's vehicles sorted. I did not know you could create work orders, print add email yourself and/or your customers all issues and corrections made to each pdf work order created and the best part it is fully updatable. ThisI find amazing, it is like getting a work order from the dealership! I personally have not had a chance to go through every bit of the scanner, however I will say this...., for what I have used, it is generally user friendly and super accurate. I have searched for about 2 months, and I found that this was the best scanner for the best bang. Customer support is AMAZING! I had almost bought 2 different competitive scanners, (1) was just was good in terms of answering my technical questions, but simple did not truly work on a specific vehicle until 2005, and (2) the other took so very long to answer my questions. The Autell MX-808 was recommended to me because of the type of support I was looking for plus the reasons I personally stressed via my expectations in regards to how customer service is suppose to be (in the United States). The graphing is amazing and if you own a focus, in my opinion, buy this particular scanner, this has been used enough times it paid itself over more so in NOT paying diagnostic fees. Here is an example my neighbor thought his check engine light was due to a faulty gas cap, it was, via through the cmdcs, but the dtc code was for bad heater voltage to the downstream o2 sensor (money saved on not buying a new part for a non faulty fix for no reason, this saving money for not throwing parts at a problem that was not even a problem). I thought I had a faulty o2 sensor due to a p0420 code, because of this particular scanner's detailed graphing and capabilities, I had made a determination to not replace the downstream/upstream o2 sensors, after showing the values and graphing there were consistent rear o2 sensor readings and the extreme fluctuation of the upstream readings (this proving the sensors were working correctly), all I needed was good fuel treatment and boom!!! No more p0420 intermittent code. This is NOT just a scanner, but a scanner with many hidden gem features that if you decide to buy it, you need a day to just play with it, very awesome. This is the most advanced scanner I have ever used, and for my expertise level of automotive mechanical skills this is well worth more than I had imagined and I have no need for any desire to buy anything different. Thank you Autell for such a wonderful product I highly recommend buying this scanner, if not please consider other Autell products, you'll be disappointed if you didn't (again, in my opinion) and I will definitely be looking at Autell as my primary automotive diagnostic company of choice.

Pro tool for reasonable price
2023 update: I have had this thing about a year and it is still working great. So far I have used it to diagnose/fix: transmission sensor, engine misfire, TPMS issue, ABS speed sensor, power sliding door, power mirror, keyfob relearn. Great investment, already has paid for itself.I am not a professional mechanic nor do I own a repair shop. However, I always maintain family vehicles and they very rarely see the inside of a shop (now even less likely with this tool). Basic scanners will read basic codes and reset them, but to really diagnose complex issues on modern vehicles more is needed.I bought this device because of the features and since I needed to see ALL the vehicle onboard control systems; and it delivers. Using the basic and vehicle-specific apps I can read so much more information from ECS, transmission, TPMS, etc. The device is small enough to be portable and tough enough to sit anywhere when diagnosing. There is a decent suite of static and hot vehicle tests and utilities. I am still figuring out how to use some of the advanced tests, since the on-device help isn't the greatest. The extensive live data is invaluable when diagnosing issues, especially ones that are lurking without throwing a code. The graphing function is quite useful, and I initially thought the limit of three PIDs in a graph would be limiting but so far it has been sufficient. I don't really need the whole shop management function, but it is nice to have useful vehicle history stored on the device. The device is pricey for an amateur, but if you can repair your own cars it will pay for itself the first couple times you avoid a trip to the mechanic. I have already resolved a transmission issue and currently zeroing-in on a random misfire. I wish I had bought an advanced tool like this years ago.

Easy to update and use
Its easy to use , worked with my 2018 z71 and it was simple to work. Its almost dummy proof. Plug it in your home and hook to the wifi and do all the updates and stuff before using on your car, and it will make the situation better
