bought this to test some hidden cables that we wernt sure were working properly. did the job perfectly. easy to use, good value for money, nice sturdy little machine.

This networerk cable tester just works reliably and is durable.

Accurate test in my application
Bought to test cctv cables finally used and tested cables. The machine operates and tests the individual cores and the correct order. Doesn’t appear to test for short circuits . Tested cables along side a well known expensive tester and proved an accurate test in my case. Good value for money but the build quality was a little flimsy so as long as it’s treated carefully it should last

Does what it says on the tin.
This is a very useful tool for anyone running network cable or testing ports. I was able to identify issues with a RJ45 port in my apartment rental. It's also a useful tool for live/broadcast sound engineers, who may be running network cable, a quick and accurate way to identify faults, without having to bring the two ends of the cable together - a great time saver.

Saves a lot of time
Two of the Ethernet sockets in our new-build house did not work. This tester allowed me to quickly identify the pins that were not connected properly, so I was able to advise the electrician what to focus on. This saved him a lot of time and made us look unexpectedly knowledgeable (one of the thin wires was broken some way into the wall from the faceplate, and one had come adrift in a sneaky way). The tester is simple to use - definitely a good purchase if you want to test connections and diagnose faults.
