In my free time I like to browse Amazon for anything cool that I may want or need. With that said, I am so happy that I stumbled upon this neat little tool set during my browsing session! It's super cute and tiny enough to put in your pocket or purse (I took them to a friend's house for a baking lesson!). I love that each piece is a different color; it makes it easy to find them in my drawer full of random utensils. But I think the best part is how practical and useful each tool piece is, especially for those that love to bake and create artsy crafts. I will admit I am not the best when it comes to cake decorating, but using this tool set sure makes it a lot more fun! You can use each piece for a variety of reasons, I use them to decorate my cakes and my 10 year old sister uses them for random school projects. This is definitely one of those random things you need to have lying around your house. You just never know when you might need them!

So I bought this set because I decided, after many viewings of various baking shows, I was interested in taking up cake decorating as a new hobby. I didn't want to buy anything too expensive because I wasn't sure how much I would actually get into it, so I bought this product and was pretty amazed. The various double-edged tools were easier to use than I expected, were very sturdy, and were really easy to clean. Best of all, I actually created a few designs that were pretty similar to ones I'd seen on the shows, and I had no idea what I was doing! I just kind of experimented with the various shapes of the tools and had fun with it. This set was everything I needed to get started with my new hobby and I don't think I'll need to buy any other tools for a while since I'm still "perfecting my craft" with these!

Sure, you COULD use these tools to ruffle, stitch and cut fondant, as the other reviewers have told you. But what they have failed to mention is the many other great uses of these three ergonomic tools. The ball tool makes a great pocket-sized massager, allowing you to easily reach knots in your neck and upper back. The stitching wheels can stitch not only fondant but also Play-Doh or Silly Putty. The needle tool is a handy reusable toothpick, so (just like reusable straws), it's a great way to reduce waste. And the knife end is the perfect size for slicing small amounts of soft cheese. Finally, both the ball tool and the stitch wheel make great toys for kids who like to play dentist (children should probably steer clear of the needle and knife tool). All in all, this is a surprisingly multifaceted trio of tools.

These tools worked fine for my purposes, though I only used them to make leaves for my cake. This is also my second time ever working with fondant. (My first time was many years ago.) I did not use the wheel tool at all. I wish I didn’t have to pay for it.

I'm glad I purchased this tool set - it's very versatile and well-priced! Each of the three pieces opens up at the sides to make it more user-friendly. Also, it's very convenient to store away considering there is a cover for the blade and the packaging itself takes up minimal space. As a starter set, it is excellent. It is enough to get the job done and gain beautiful results thanks to these simple yet durable tools.

I personally don’t use fondant, but I do work with foam clay and I needed some tools like this. This work perfectly for my projects! Very comfortable to use/work with as well.

This kit is great! It's 3 pieces, but there's 2 sides to each piece so it feels like a 6 piece kit. I love that the blade/ pick tool comes with sheath - I can toss them in the drawer and not worry about sticking myself as I dig around later. The quilting/ stitching tool moves very easily and steadily- an even seam every time (If only I could sew that neatly). And the handles are different colors so I can pick them out of the drawer more easily. I think they've thought of everything! And the price is just right, too!
