Due to bruxism, I finally had to have the rest of my top teeth pulled last year. It was... traumatic. While I'm glad to have my smile back, dentures and I are not getting along well. I tried the adhesive glue and it did not go well - trying to remove the residue left was not only unpleasant and gross, but triggered my gag reflex horribly. It was bad. Really bad. The dentist's assistant suggested I try these. You have to cut them to size to fit inside your denture with no overlap. Pink side down. I dip my finger under the faucet and drop water on it, one drop at a time letting it spread until the entire thing is wet. Then I pop them in. It takes about 10-15 minutes to fully set, but is ready to go in 1-2 minutes. It holds. I was finally able to eat an entire meal with them in. When you remove your dentures, the seal is normally stuck to the roof of your mouth. Hook it with your finger and pull it out, do a quick rinse with water and you're done. That's it. No gagging. No icky goo to scrape out. It already sucks to have dentures, your adhesive shouldn't give you trauma. If I hadn't found this, I would have probably given up on trying to make them work. These are great for good fitting dentures. None of the ooze or mess. The most difficult part is trimming them to size, but once one is done you can cut the rest of the pack to match. I like that I don’t have to try and remove clumps of gummy adhesive and the paper adds a slight cushion that helps prevent from forming and or becoming more painful. I usually get a good 6-8 hours of perfect performance from these, just long enough to last my work day and take my denture out when I get home to give my mouth a break. The other nice thing is if I have my dentures out but want to put them in for a good meal the liners are perfect as if I used traditional adhesive I’d be stuck with them in for 8-10 hours unless I wanted to rip them out and spend a good 10+ minutes removing adhesive from the inside of my mouth.

i hated the glue so much took me an hour every night to clean my mouth and i really had to dig at my gums to get it all out so they hurt i loved the seabond right away so comforting and easy to take out at night the only problem was the hold wasnt strong enough to eat at first i could only eat oatmeal, peanut butter sandwiches, but after a month i could eat a hamburger just real slow and careful then after about a year i could eat everything its been about 5 years now and i can eat nuts or anything so it was definitely worth the time it took to learn to eat with them

Didn't work for me

Husband says these are the best he has tried all he says the other stuff leaves all this goop in your mouth but not these. Teeth stay in really well.

I had full upper extractions and immediate denture on Dec 3rd. I tried using this as my swelling went down and the denture got loose, around 5 weeks post. It helped to hold them I when speaking but not very well eating. I switched to Polident 12HR which worked great until I tried taking it out at night. I started to get small blood spots on the right side. I adjusted and used Polident on the left and cut a strip to fit in the groove on the right. This has helped. After a week of this I'm able to use the Polident on both sides again. I read a review that said they used the bottom horse shoe shaped sea bond on their uppers. Nothing on the top pallet. I cut my full uppers to make the half wedge. Whatever works for you Something to consider.

I tried this for my partial. I cut pieces, meticulously, to fit and followed the directions. At the end of the day, or before, the pieces slid forward to stick out from the back of the partial. The hold was equivalent to the use of other pastes. When I remove the partial, the pieces are gooey and need to be removed and put in the garbage. This was an added step to cleaning the partial. I will save these for a school project or wallpaper paste. lol
