It's really soft! I'm not sure how to describe the softness but it's definitely nice to touch and softer than most stuffed animals i own.

I would put him in on a very gentle wash or even on a delicate setting if your washing machine has that setting. Then I would probably either air dry him or put him in the drying machine on light.
