Bondi Sands PURE Gradual Tanning Lotion

I like the color of the original Bondi sands gradual tanner more, this one is a little more orange and comes on darker than the original. But there's no after smell!!!! The lotion itself has a slight scent when you're applying it (neither good nor bad) but even that doesn't have the "fake tan" smell that overpowers in any other product. It applied easily and there weren't any streaks. I also applied to face and did not have a reaction on my sensitive skin. This is not moisturizing at all so if you have dry skin make sure you apply a little of that lotion ahead of time.

This stuff is amazing. Used on face and body. Natural tan in an hour. Would buy again.

I am beyond pale- I’m talking Victorian Era sickly pale. I’ve never tried to self-tan before (or any kind of tan because I burn instantly in sunlight), so I did about thirty minutes of browsing on Amazon before finding this product. On top of being pale, my skin is extremely sensitive and will react if it doesn’t like what I put on it. I decided to try this product because I assumed that “gradual” meant it could be layered. It doesn’t mean that- it means that it gets darker with time! I looked a bit orange on days 2-4, but the product lasted a little over a week and looked natural for the most part! For having no self-tan experience and lathering myself carelessly with the lotion- it wasn’t as streaky as it could’ve been! My neck and underarms were a bit streaky, but I’m sure that was just a user error. The lotion goes on clear so it’s a bit hard to see where it is and doesn’t develop for a day or two. This product didn’t break me out and didn’t make me bright orange, so it did it’s job! Everyone said I looked sunkissed! It wasn’t that moisturizing, but I didn’t buy the product for that reason. The scent was good initially, but after marinating in it for a while wasn’t the best. Still, it’s not overbearing!

I have tried others with no success. I have no odds colors streaks or blotches. Great product and pleasant scent dries quickly and no staining on towel or clothes.

I am light to medium skin tone with a peachy undertone so do not tan easily. While my arms, chest and face can sometimes hold a light tan my blindingly white legs seem to reflect light right back at the sun and never seem to tan. Most faux tanners seem to have a goal of a dark golden tan to dark for me or gradual tanners are so gradual I wonder if they are doing anything. After one day using this gradual tanner I can see color in my legs! I could see how continued daily use would produce a darker tan if desired. The lotion is white and goes on clear so you have to make sure you really blend it in. I do have one spot on the back of my calf that has a darker smudge where I did not blend it in well. While it is not 100% scentless as I can smell that faux tanner smell most of us are familiar with its not as offensive as some I have tried. It does not bother me when hanging out around the house and not enough that it would bother me to go run errands with it on but I would definitely wash the scent away before going out with fiends or on a date. Update: it’s day three and I applied it the last two days (not today) I am not as impressed as I first thought I was. Yes it gave me some color without being to dark but it’s blotchy I want a self tanner I can put on and forget about. This one I feel like I need to go back to do touch ups in areas of my legs and that’s disappointing. I think I will be returning and trying something else

I have used a lot of self-tanners and the fragrances that are in them is really off-putting, in my opinion. My family members also can't stand the smell of them. So, when I saw this product, I was excited to try it. However, some reviews said it did have an odor, so I was a little confused by them. In my experience with it, it does not have an odor when it goes on, but several hours later it does have a light smell. It's much better than the overwhelming fragrance that most products have. Oh, and the tan it gives is really nice and it doesn't fade for several days. I would highly recommend this product.!

Feels good on skin, smells better than most self-tanners.

After 3-4 days of usage the tan started to show but it was very uneven, patchy especially on the arms. I used other products before and never noticed this effect. I put the cream evenly and let it absorb fully before put on clothing, so it is not an application issue. However, for the face it works well - got an even and healthy tan color. The product is advertised for the full body though. I don’t recommend this product.
