Good stuff
I see a lot of complaints on here about smell, staining, and such. I really don't understand what the problem is. I ordered this stuff to help with chickens pecking on each other. It came in a very sealed bottle that is easy to open. I put it on about 20 chickens by applying it to the affected area and using a cheap 1.00 paint brush to paint and smear it where i needed it to be. The first time I used latex gloves from all the stories online, but the second time didn't use anything and had no problem either time with it. It washed out of the paint brush easily so that it can be reused. It has a nice grape smell that is much better than my chicken house so that is a plus. It seemed to do the job because I see feathers growing back now. I did use it twice on some birds. Its easy to use, works great, smells good, and not overly priced. No complaints.

Works well to prevent feather pickers from pecking
I like this product. It works well. It will stain feathers of white birds purple. It has a nice smell to it. Use gloves to apply. A little goes a long ways but does keep them from feather picking. You will need to reapply as needed.

it really does work.
Happy to report that where BLU-KOTE failed, Pick No More WORKED! After weeks of one of our ding-dongs pulling her own tail feathers out, drawing blood and then the picking attention of her fellow flock members, no matter how much blu kote we hosed her down with, a mere two applications of Pick No More and her hind quarters are healing, feathers are growing and the horrid taste sensation of the tea tree oil has permanently dissuaded any further mutilation, self inflicted or otherwise. I'm not a big fan of very many roosterbooster products, as I find they are often over priced and under-performing, however Pick no more is an exception to that and a product that I will absolutely keep in the avian first aid kit at all times.

I don’t know if it works that well
I got this for my chickens who are at the bottom of the pecking order. It didn’t really seem to help very much. It’s definitely smelly but the purple wears off very quickly. It does have some healing properties so I will continue to see if it does any good.

Saves your chickens life
LIFE SAVER! I switched my girls to a pellet layer feed, they hated it. But it took me too long to realize it with how much they free range. In a matter of a single day, they pecked each other and pecked sores. There was no sign of pecking before that. I fought it all week, did everything I could. Switched their food, more roosts, new treats, new pecking block, ample free ranging. Nothing was working until this order finally came. It immediately stopped the pecking. I applied it all over their butts on 8 hens and only used 1/6 of the bottle. It’s been 48 hours no pecking. The lotion was still visible but we just went and reapplied for good measure. So thankful to find a solution. I was extremely worried all week.

Hens like the taste
I expected the product would have a taste so bad that one peck and the hens would be immediately discouraged from pecking their flock mates. To my disappointment, this grape juice smelling goop seemed to attract the hens and they kept pecking until they devoured it along with the feathers it was supposed to protect. The back of the rooster’s crest is now bald and red and this goop is not protecting him either. I think this product increased the severity of the pecking problem. It started with one hen and the others learned from her. They have abundant protein and calcium. The main offenders have now been isolated. I’m guessing there might be a hereditary gene that one feed store chick is carrying or perhaps just a case of boredom and curiosity that turned into a terrible habit. The goop is not difficult apply. Just squeeze out some on a folded paper towel to spread evenly on feathers and/or bare skin. I wish it worked as advertised.

Definitely works for me.
First off it's annoyingly stinky. I always wear nitrile gloves. Second, I've seen a complaint like great now my bird pecks itself. And it kinda does sometimes after first putting on but soon figures out it's out.. Also I find them just looking at it, which one could possibly mistake it for pecking. You do need to keep at it. Once or twice a day usually. You slack once and there back at square starting one with bare skin. I suggest using it generously. And pay attention to your birds habits and adjust accordingly. They can give you directions for a good baseline but you need to tailor to your needs. Also like that it's purple. I've read that red skin attracts the attention of birds so this helps to combat that. Also aids in visibly seeing when more needs to be applied. Overall this has been my go to. Not much luck as no pick. I've debated trying Blu-kote which I'll eventually buy and try. Probably would have tried that first just because the ease of Aerosol application but didn't realize it could be used for feather picking. And be realistic there's no single application product for this. So going to take some work and commitment to work. Kind of a long review for suck an item but when you on the fence of what to buy it's nice to have info. So hope it helps someone! I've also come to like alot of the products from this company and keep them on hand.
