Sleek & functional rolling pin
This rolling pin is a straight forward, no-nonsense rolling pin. It’s a sleek spin on what my mother used. No handles required, just angling down where your hands rest make this rolling pin a breeze to use. Easy to clean and light weight. Pizza dough didn’t stick at all. I love the measurement markings along the rolling pin-haven’t needed to use them yet, but I like that extra touch. Recommmed!

Good quality. Nice to have adjustable height rings. Works great on pie crisis when cooled prior to use.

This ain't your mama's rolling pin!
In all my baking years I've used a traditional wooden rolling pin - because my mom did, and her mom did. I always had issues with dough sticking, difficulty using the handles, diameter too large. Just hated it. I looked at silicone rolling pins, supposedly didn't stick and had ball bearings in the handles but I found them cumbersome - and I was done with handles! Then I saw this one on Amazon. It was long enough for my largest pie crust and cinnamon roll doughs, had a smaller diameter so it'd roll over a surface area more often and evenly. I'd be able to really push down for thin crusts. Because it's metal it really chills up in the fridge for those shortening crusts. For really moist & sticky butter/shortening crusts I find a bit of oil rubbed between palms of hands, then all over the roller is helpful for sticking. I prefer rolling sticky crusts between parchment paper and was able to get them paper - thin with this roller! I recently used it on homemade naan that really puffs up, a bit too much. It needs to be rolled quickly and thinly so the gluten doesn't reactivate. I was amazed how effortlessly this rolling pin glided so uniformly and fast over the dough. Not one piece stuck to the pin! The narrow diameter made it so much easier to control the pins movement. I've seen the wooden one's shaped somewhat like these but you're still going to have sticking issues. Metal holds a chill better than wood. Cleaning is a breeze - and no where for bacteria to hide like wood! Love this roller - Holy Grail!

Not "etched"
Product is described as being etched with measurements. It has measurements printed on the surface, but they definitely are not "etched" as described. Worried that they might eventually fade and disappear over time when washed in the dishwasher. Weight of pin is nice and product is beautifully manufactured. Totally smooth surfaces.

When I moved I decided to downsize and try to live a more minimalist life. I had an old ball- bearing rolling pan with handles that I loved but didn’t really use often anymore so I gave it to a friend. I’ve kinda been managing without one, but sometimes I really needed a rolling pin! I see TV chefs with the French rolling pins and know they’d not take much room in my kitchen and this one has so many smart features and is so reasonably priced so I decided to give it a try. I’m so glad I did! The measurement feature makes it so easy to know my pie crust, pizza, dough ring, etc is the just the right size for the pan. No more guessing! It gets cold quickly while still being easy to handle so my laminated or buttery dough stays cold so I always get flaky and tender pies and rolls. It looks cool. :) It’s easy to store in my tiny kitchen- it easily fits in the kitchen drawer. It makes baking more fun- I kinda feel like a professional baker, Sometimes I use it when I don’t really need a rolling pin just because it’s filing to use and easy to clean and put away- like when I made pizza dough tonight- and making my own pizza is so much cheaper and tastier than delivery (or frozen-yuk). A rolling pin isn’t going to change your life, but this is a fun kitchen tool that’s a good investment even for people with small kitchens.

Great easy to use rolling pin
Just made homemade tortillas and it was easy with this because nothing stuck to the rolling pin . Super easy to clean and store . Very happy with this . Nice alternative to the wooden one I have .
