I bought this, the first time, by accident for my lawnmower. Once I realized what it was I decided not to use it in the lawnmower, but dump it in my car. I really didn't expect anything. Boy was I wrong!! At first, obviously, there was little change, but after 30 minutes or so I pulled out from a side street onto a main road and was caught completely by surprise when my car took off like greased lightening!! Much stronger than I was normally accustomed to. My car has a 6.1L Hemi, so it's a big engine with lots of power to begin with (425hp). The difference in power and responsiveness from the engine after adding this stuff was simply incredible. That's not the best part though. The biggest surprise (to me) was the increase in gas mileage. I normally run between 13.5 and 14.0 mpg around town and 20.0 to 22.0 on the highway. I"ve not had a chance to check my highway mileage, but around town I'm now getting between 14.8 and 16.5!! Not a big deal you say? Think about it. The smallest increase is almost 10%, the largest is nearly 22%. Okay, in different terms. I have to run premium fuel, which is real close to $4/gal. Let's say the increase is only 1 mpg. Over the course of one tank of fuel (16 gals), that is nearly a gallon of gas saved. Total savings. $4. It nearly pays for itself, reduces the amount of fuel I burn, thus less emissions, and it gives me more power. Can't argue that logic! Better yet, using the best case scenario of 3 mpg increase, the savings really adds up. 3 mpg * 16 gals = 48 miles. 48 miles / 16 mpg = 3 gals. 3 gals * $4 = $12. This stuff is now saving me money. On average, I find the savings I receive from using this stuff far exceeds its cost. Yes I have ran a tank of gas through the car w/o using this product since, and yes I noticed a difference, both mileage and power. My next experiment is to put it in the minivan. Maybe I'll report back again then. If you would have told me this stuff would make a difference I would have called it snake oil. All I can say is, go buy one bottle and you WILL notice a difference. You'll pay about $8/bottle at your local parts store though.

Finally! Ethanol breaks down much faster than gasoline and up until now, finding anything but 1 oz bottles (for like two bucks per at the local big box stores) was impossible. I swear by Sta-Bil's Gas/Diesel treatment and was really happy to see them come out with an Ethanol stabilizer. I have probably 20 small gas-powered tools/vehicles (not including the wife's Vette that needs winterizing where we live) to maintain and one of the shops I use recommended keeping Ethanol gas on hand for NO more than 90 days. They say they've seen a huge increase in service business for bad-fuel related repairs since Ethanol was introduced. In fact Stihl won't even honor its warranty if you admit to using Ethanol infused gasoline. Gums things up and loses its volatility and can cause pre-ignition damage, I'm told. While this is still a little pricey, I'm glad I don't have to buy it by the drink anymore. Bought a case. Hope they will come out with a capillary fed measuring bottle, however. All this has are the molded marks on the side, making measuring a little more tedious.

My motorhome has a 55 gallon gas tank so this size is a good fit, the gas will also power a small generator, this particular STA-BIL seems to be good for small engines as well. Just bought a case from Amazon

In today's "BIG GOVERNMENT WORLD", where we are forced to put ethanol laced gas in our cars. Its good to know there are products to counteract the effects of ethanol . I don't care what anyone says about the positive attributes of ethanol,"IT'S PURE CRAP". After using the recommended amount in my first tank, I was amazed how my car's engine reacted. It didn't hesitate, It had git up like when new, and purred like a kitten at idol. Then I put a bottle in my truck before a camping trip and got 20% better mileage than a trip I took last fall. All in all this product is GREAT! Too bad we need to use it because of "ENVIRONMENTAL WACKOS".

My husband decided to try this because we have had issues with the alcohol levels in gasoline now causing problems in some of our small engine yard tools like weed eater and hedge clippers. A friend suggested this additive to prevent damage to internal engine parts in those products and when we read the bottle we decided to try it in our vehicles also. We increased mileage approximately two miles per gallon each time we added it to a tank of gasoline. Leaving it out dropped the mileage. It is nice to find something to help keep the alcohol from damaging engines.
