4.5 only because it doesn't have an alarm to tell my cat it's time to feed.he is still confused by the food magically appearing. Lol. But this really saved me,I work shifts in the hospital and we get caught sometimes and can't leave for 13 or 14 hours..I feel so bad for my cat during that time and we can't keep food out all the time because he has no limits, he would eat till he vomits. So i had to search for a solution and thankfully found this. I keep different food types and snack..and the beat part is that it's on battery mode so no fear of electrical issues and safety no wires cats could chew on. I wish it had a way to announce to the cats it's dinner time..he only found the food because he was hungry and searching.

This is great. I only need it for a day now and then. It's battery operated so if the power goes, my cat gets fed. It has cool pads so I can leave wet good in there. The basins are wide enough for comfort I think, and they're easy to clean. Practically it only conceals 4 meals- but that's all I need. Many of the fancier ones were huge or gimmicky- this is simple, low profile and resistant to my HassleCat. The only thing is that the cold packs have started to buckle a bit. We'll see how long they last. Very happy with it overall

I have cats which we leave at home when we work. This is very convenient as we just have to set it up and then it rations the food depending on the timing you set. We wanted to take extra ice packs but they're way to expensive! It's like buying a new set altogether.

The cover doesn’t have a closing for the food compartment, so one of the 5 compartments is always open. What’s the point of scheduling then if the first is immediately available?

Very happy with the feeder. Works very well and is a great solution when leaving the kitties alone for a weekend. Bought it to use it with wet food and with the cooling aggregates food stays fresh. Shipment was super fast and great Customer Service from the seller.

Parts are too deep and half of food stuck in corners and my cat will try to reach it with her paw and food will be everywhere, too bad that I can’t put pictures): Now I can’t return because I used it

Easy to use, good sized food trays, easy enough to clean, the icepacks are a nice touch and it's been very reliable so far. No more being woken up early by hungry cats. I find you can also freeze food in the trays as well as using the ice packs to get a couple extra days worth of feeding. Makes it very useful for trips that might last around 4 days (depending on the weather). Took a while for the cats to get used to food magically appearing without having to meow at me, but they figured it out eventually.

Ich habe den Cat Mate C500 Katzenfutterautomaten nun seit einigen Monaten im Einsatz und bin absolut begeistert von seiner Funktionalität. Dieses Gerät hat nicht nur meinen Alltag erleichtert, sondern auch das Wohlbefinden meiner beiden Schnurrbärte (2 Kater jeweils 5 kg). Vorteile: Automatische Fütterung: Der Katzenfutterautomat ermöglicht eine zuverlässige und regelmäßige Fütterung meiner Katze, auch wenn ich mal nicht zu Hause bin. Das ist besonders praktisch bei unregelmäßigen Arbeitszeiten oder kurzen Ausflügen. Individuelle Portionierung: Die Möglichkeit, die Futterportionen individuell einzustellen, ermöglicht es, die Ernährung meiner beiden besser zu Takten. Eine direkte Kontrolle welcher der beiden wann und wie frisst ist natürlich nicht möglich. Frisches Futter: Der Automat schützt das Futter vor den beiden, unerwünschten Fliegen und beinhaltet die Kühlakkus, was die Frische länger bewahrt. Das ist nicht nur appetitlich für die Katze, sondern auch gut für ihre Gesundheit. Einfache Bedienung: Die Bedienung des Futterautomaten ist einfach und unkompliziert. Das Einstellen der Fütterungszeiten und -mengen war schnell erledigt, und die Reinigung ist ebenfalls problemlos. Geringe Stressbelastung: Der Futterautomat reduziert den Stress für die Katze, insbesondere wenn sie alleine zu Hause ist. Sie weiß genau, wann es Futter gibt, und das schafft Verlässlichkeit und Routine. Stabil: Die beiden haben schon so manchen Automaten etc. in kleinste Teile zerlegt oder aufgebrochen, bei dem Cat Mate waren die kleinen Einbrecher bisher ohne Erfolg ;-) Spuren sind am Gerät sichtbar. Nachteile: Stromabhängig: Der Futterautomat benötigt Batterien, was bedeutet, dass er im Falle plötzlich leerer Batterien nicht funktioniert. Das kann ein Problem sein, wenn sich darauf verlassen wird. Lautstärke: Für mich ist der Automat erstmal etwas laut, vielleicht sollte es aber auch so sein um die Katzen zu locken. Insgesamt bin ich mit meinem Katzenfutterautomaten sehr zufrieden. Die Vorteile überwiegen bei weitem die Nachteile, und er hat sich als zuverlässiges Gerät erwiesen. Tipp: Ersatzakkus sowohl Strom als auch Kühlung gleich mitbestellen um immer etwas kühl zu haben ;-)

This automatic feeder is a dream; it’s reliable and so easy to use and clean. I’ve been using this feeder daily for about three months now to provide wet food for my cat while I’m away. It’s AWESOME and makes life so much easier. My girl eats only wet food, and the previous automatic feeder I was using with her wasn’t really cutting it. I ordered this one and the stainless steel inserts and WOW. The stainless steel inserts are individual dishes you click into place, so I really love being able to set up the exact amount of meals I need. It makes clean up so easy! My only complaint is that the dishes are a little too deep for sensitive whiskers, and I wish they had shallow dish options. But my girl still eats from it with no issues. It makes a normal amount of noise when turning, certainly not louder than any other automatic feeder. My cat is shy and timid and scared of sound, but has never had an issue with it. And it’s perfect because the sound signals to her that it’s feeding time and she immediately runs to it :). You can set 4 individual timers, and they are very reliable. The ice packs sit just underneath the food tray and keep the food perfectly cool and safe, which I love. I think some people are expecting ice cold food, but that’s not the function of wet food feeders. It’s to keep it at a safe temperature so it stays good/fresh until the cat eats it. This feeder works perfectly and has kept food cool for over 9 hours for me (I haven’t tested it beyond that yet). It runs on batteries and has been steady for the past 3 months without changing them, so battery life is great. I’m so happy with this feeder and I can’t recommend it enough. It’s reliable, functional, easy to set up, and makes it SO much easier to make sure your kitty gets a moisture rich diet when you’re away!
