The kit is great, especially since I already have a thermometer and pouring pitcher. However, the only issue I have is the quality of the scents. Warm vanilla sugar smells great though.

I'm very impressed with this candle making kit. I have always loved candles and when I buy them I mix the waxes to create different scents. I just recently started my own cleaning business and have been making candles occasionally on the side to give to my clients after I clean their homes. I wanted a candle making kit so I could perfect my candles. This kit comes with 12- 8oz circle tins with lids, 12 candle wicks and 12 wick stickers, 12 warning labels for the bottom of your candles, 4 lbs of soy wax that comes in four one pound bags and four different fragrance scents. There's lavender, lemongrass, sandalwood, and warm vanilla sugar. All the scents smell nice and aren't overpowering at all. Sandalwood is my favorite fragrance oil. It can be paired with a lot of other fragrances. The only one I didn't care for was the warm vanilla sugar because it didn't seem like it was scented very well. I had to use my kitchen thermometer to check the temp of the wax as it came out of the microwave. I think it would be nice if this kit came with its own thermometer. The wax melted nicely and didn't take but a couple minutes to melt to the right temp. I ended up making 4 candles and 4 things of wax melts. I'm including pictures of my process of making them. Overall my candles turned out great and I didn't have any issues with the wax or anything that came in this kit. It also comes with a instruction sheet that tells you how to make the candles step by step. Great for a beginner or anyone looking to add to their own candle collection.

Just got around to open it. First product review I've ever written. But all the tins had dents in them. Wanted to see them but now not sure due to bad quality.

The wicks don't like to burn. Buy better quality wicks. Not very strong scented either.

Good kit, but the only scent I liked was the vanilla.

I had never made a candle in my life & was a bit intimidated but this entire kit looked like something I could manage! I couldn't be more pleased with the ease, instructions and quality of every item. I have now made over 20 candles and am ready to purchase more wax and supplies which I will definitely buy from this seller again! If this is your first time making candles, I recommend buying a wick adjust thingy majiggy (sorry, can't think of the name offhand). It will help keep the wick centered which seems easy but sometimes if you put the candle wax into the container and it's too hot- the wick can move so first- center it with wick adjuster. Then, make sure your wax has cooled a bit prior to pouring into containers. Btw, these silver containers are fantastic and a great gift (I added a heart sticker on top and the I wrote the mixture on a heart sticker which I put on the bottom). Enjoy!!!

This was super easy. I was expecting it to take a really long time to put these things together so I set aside an afternoon to really get this project done but it only took about 15 minutes to do 3 of them. The fragrances are great and not overpowering at all. I used the vanilla and am looking forward to making the rest of these. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow and the kit came with everything I needed. I've made candles before and it has taken so much longer and seemed more complicated before. This is a great kit and would be a great supervised project to do with kits or great for making a bunch of little gifts for a group during Christmas. It would be a fun thing to also decorate the outside of the tins with decorations and hot glue to make them festive for holidays. I definitely recommend it.

I purchased this kit as a starter-I have never made candles before! I did not use the dye or the fragrances as I used my own therapeutic essential oils & added coconut oil, shea butter & avocado oil to make massage candles for christmas gifts. Worked GREAT! Only issue is, now I am making more, & have ordered more wax (from a different supplier) & the wax is not as good as what was supplied in this kit. I would very much like NV Candles to tell me what kind of soy wax was included in my kit. It was very good. Please make available again!
