Cheap construction makes my sample unusable
Even out of the package, this desk clamp felt light, shoddy, with rough molded edges. I've seen cleaner 3D prints. If there were ways to cut corners, this clamp's manufacturer found all of them. Yes, it is the cheapest boom clamp to be found on Amazon. And, as the man said; "you get what you pay for." I this case, I got "not much", just a boom/light desk clamp: Whose mounting hole is too small for my Luxor lamp; Whose right-angle clamp screw was only bent to about 87 degrees; That could not be rotated 90 degrees (no holes on the side for the badly formed right-angle clamp screw) and, wait, there's more! The clamping foot broke. This and all of the above made this product unusable. And, I'm out time and money. I don't pan material that I get by shopping on the web. Well, I guess I do now. Give this one a big pass.

Inexpensive desk clamp
Four stars as the plastic portion is quite rough, and it (the plastic part) does not look durable. I've seen better designs included with various desk lamps.

Fits my arm lamp.
Looks exactly like the original clamp that came with the arm lamp so I expect it to last for a long time. Would recommend.

Only for cheaper, lighter lamps with small posts.
This bracket was exactly like ones on swing arm lamps I've had before, but the more economy models, so more lightweight than the lamp I needed a mounting clamp for this time. The bracket has no pads to add more grip and to protect any surface you clamp it onto. AND the holes are too small for my lamp's post, unfortunately. And given the heftiness of this lamp I have I had doubts the clamp would hold; I do not intend to screw it down to any surface, and the clamp being plastic wondered if it wouldn't break quickly from the weight and moving the lamp to various positions. It's OK for lightweight lamps with less than half-inch posts.

Seems good
Pretty much exactly like the one I lost that went with my desk lamp when I moved. It’s doing what it’s supposed to do.

No grip on any surface
Like other reviewers mentioned, this clamp is super flimsy. I needed a replacement for the original clamp that came with my mic arm. After the original clamp broke, I used the IKEA Tertial lamp clamp, which served me really well. But, there were times where I had to switch the lamp for the mic for calls and as such I went looking for a similar clamp. After a lot of searching I ended up on this clamp, which at least wasn't more expensive than the whole Tertial lamp set. Sadly, this clamp serves for nothing good. It's almost impossible to get a proper grip on my desk or on my monitor arm, that's because there's no felt or solid base to better the contact surface. Even if you manage to clamp it down securely, the inserts for the microphone arms are so tight that if you want to move the microphone out of the way, it will also move the clamp. I will now wait for the Tertial to come back in stock.
