Good solid buy, very even heat and it holds it. Great especially for smashburgers!

There are misconceptions about cast iron. Yes, it is heavy! Read the weight and dimensions prior to purchasing.I’d recommend at first cooking something easy like bacon. Place the flat side up on a gas stove and cook low and slow. Do not clean afterwards. Perhaps scrape and remove residual bacon remains and grease in the trough. Do this several times.Now you have a nicely seasoned surface. I wipe clean with a couple paper towels. Then store it in the oven when not in use. There is no way I allow this griddle to see soap and water. Otherwise, the seasoning and protection has been reduced/removed.When grilling other items like steak and asparagus- I flip over and use the grated side. I use it outdoors over the gas grill. It maximizes the seasoned taste from previous cookings- and certainly keeps the mess off the grill grates, minimizing flare-ups.Truly one of the few things that gets better with each use. And if treated with care- can be handed down to the next generation.

It’s a nice griddle

This doesn’t quite cover two burners on the gas stove. It is also slightly thinner than ones I have had previously. It seems to not have as even heat distribution and therefore have uneven cooking.

Great for 2 people on a 4 burner cook top.

This is a good quality product that cooks great.

Purchased for use on outside gas grill.Better heat distribution and love the “pan seared” look of the steaks.Follow directions on “seasoning” the cast iron.Not an item to be put away clean, best stored with a light grease or oil coating to prevent rust accumulation.

The advertisement states a 19.5" x 10" cast iron griddle . The cook space is only 16" x 8". If you include the handles and liquid catch area, yes the entire griddle is 19.5" x 10". The advertised size is very misleading.I know nothing about how well it cooks but I can say the craftmanship of the griddle looks amazing.I am pretty bummed to not cook with this beautiful looking griddle but this griddle just will not fit my stove at only 16" x 8".
