I needed to replace the wheels on my hand truck & the replacement wheels did not come with cotter pins. I didn't know what size to order so got this assortment at a very reasonable price. So far, they have held up to the weight I ocasionally move with the hand truck. I could have driven to a hardware store to get just a couple in the size I needed but probably would have spent more in time & gas than these cost.

My hand must be much larger than the one in the listing. They do measure to be the correct size, but I expected something bigger based on the picture with the hand.

A cotter pin is a cotter and these are cotter pins, but there are a whole lot of different cotter pins.These served my purpose very well.

I like the fact - these are very good quality and no sharp edges.
