To install do i need to download drivers for mac, if i only want to connect my xlr condensor mic to my webcam?

As far as I remember, I only connected to Win10 and installed the drivers. I checked if it works, because it was intended for a gift. I don't know about Mac, but probably similar.

can I use it as a usb microphone? i have a phantom condensor mic and need good sound quality for my bio stream computer camera

To be honest I would use a specific usb designated input. I use my tascam for music. The quality is superb,if this helps .
