Perfect for an Expanding Orchard
I needed a simple way to apply tension to a large orchard trellis system. A friend recommended Gripple products. As we're constantly growing, I bypassed the smaller tool, and went straight for "Contractor Grade." I'm so glad I did, as this tool is invaluable, both in reliability, and quality. Our newest trellis is up and working perfectly. Liked the simplicity so much, that I ran a high tension fence, as well. Can't say enough good things about Gripple. Work like a charm. Fast, simple, and heavy duty.

Love this larger Gripple tool.
WE are fencing in 80 acres and this tool has made our life so much easier. It's easy to use and gets the job done without a whole lot of muscle power.

Fine for tighting gripples . . .
The stripper function is terrible! Totally missing a simple function to hold the wire in the channel. That would have been a game-changer and made the tool unbeatable. VERY frustrating to use to strip the wire ends to prepare for tying.

As advertised and worth the cost of the accessories. Be careful not to pull termination posts out of the ground! I learned the hard way but I was able to put plenty of tension on my fence. Wish I had this years ago!!

Substantially Constructed, But Expensive
The tool is metal with soft grips . You can do your own calculations on the mechanical advantage. The long dimension if from the end of the handle, so effectively your mechanical advantage is less. Also, seems rather expensive for what you get to be honest.
