Easy to use even for a senior; battery could be better
**UPDATE 8 months later-4/22/25: I stand by everything I said in my original review below. Still works great, still easy to use, and Bissell would get 10 stars if the battery lasted just a bit longer. As a 60+ senior woman, I find this mop (Bissell Spinwave Pet, cordless) VERY easy to use. I haven't had it long, so I can't say how it will hold up over time, but I wanted to give my first impression of it. It really does propel itself gently along without being hard at all to manage. It's practically effortless. For real. The only time I had any issue was when I tried to get it to go up on my kitchen floor/gel mat. The mat has tapered edges, and the mop didn't like trying to make that incline. It acted like my dogs do when it's bath time, and I had to pull it backwards up onto the mat (which was easy to do). Otherwise, it is very easy to guide and use. It literally takes more strength to pull the pads off than it does to operate the mop (they really do stick on there well). If you're older or have some limitations in strength, i believe you'd have no problems using this mop. It is a bit 'heavy' for us older folks if you have to go up stairs or carry it very far -not really because of the actual weight which is only like 10 lbs., but because it's a bit awkward even with the carry handle, like trying to carry a vacuum or similar appliance. As far as the battery life, I let it charge the full 4 hours before use. I mopped my kitchen (about 30' x 5') and another area that's about 14'x14' before it started running out of juice. I don't think that's too bad, really. To be fair, I went pretty slow with it, especially when I discovered that it will do a great job up against my shoe molding. My robot vacuum leaves about an inch of grime, a 'stain' so to speak, on the floor about 1" out from the baseboards. A regular mop really won't get it and I have to get on the floor with a rag to clean that; even worse, I have to get up off of the floor afterwards. This is not something I do often. Rarely, in fact. Each year that passes, I do it less often than 'rarely'. But this mop did the job, and it cleaned the shoe molding as well. I set it longways up against the baseboard (and the toe kick of my kitchen cabinets), let it slowly scoot along, and it really did a good job. I was surprised. It can't get in the corners of course, but nothing really does that very well (including me). It even wiggled itself around and between my dining table & chairs without much guidance. After mopping I took the pads off and hosed them off outside, and those filthy pads came clean. I can't bring myself to put them in the same washing machine where I wash my underwear to be honest, so I can't say how well they wash. Four pads come with the machine, and two small sample bottles of cleaner that I haven't tried. I’ve used some of the less expensive “no-name” pads and they work perfectly fine. I used a spray bottle with a cleaning solution in it rather than putting a solution in the canister of the machine (the “Chapin 48 oz Multi-purpose sprayer” is ideal for this. Not heavy, no squeezing a trigger repeatedly, holds ample cleaner. And since you can use this machine with one hand 99% of the time, it’s easy to carry the sprayer in your other hand). I'm not certain what you can or can't use in it and most of these appliances warn you not to use anything other than their solutions...or else. Since I don't want to create a black hole, cause the machine to malfunction, or otherwise disrupt the matrix, I just use a spray bottle with my cleaner of choice. As far as how well it cleans, all I can say is that the pads were filthy, so it obviously got dirt off of the floor...something I have plenty of with two Golden Retrievers running in and out of the house 20 times a day. Did it get *all* of the dirt? Probably not. I think only a pressure washer might accomplish that. I pick my battles, and a battle for a completely sterile, spotless floor isn't one I will win. I'm using this mop on ceramic tile floors. I can't say if it leaves streaks or not. I can't see them if it does (no surprise there), but I suspect the type of cleaner used or how you've mixed it may play a part in that, for anyone who's having that issue. For a quick, easy, 'everyday' mop job, this is does the trick. I have an O Cedar mop (similar to Swiffer), and I'd say this gives similar results, but with less effort - none of that back and forth motion needed. I'll still keep that OCedar (which I still like) around for quick spot cleaning, but for a larger area I'm liking this Bissell, so far. And, it's very, very quiet. I don't know how well it does on 3-day old mud or ketchup stains and such, as I haven't had that issue. But it did do well on those shoe molding/floor stains, so there is that. Just keep in mind, this is not a commercial-grade floor cleaner with the power of a diesel engine and pads made of pumice stone that will clean two years of grime off of your floor or out of those stained grout lines, so set your expectations accordingly. If you want a floor cleaner with a battery that will last through mopping your entire house, this isn't it (a cottage or small apartment maybe, but probably not your whole house). Or, if you're looking for a device that will sterilize your floor with powerful, aggressive scrubbing action, dragging you across the room as you hang on for dear life, keep looking. So far, I like it. I'll be sure to update my review if needed though.

Great, compact and usable mop !
This mop is really great ! Easy to use and just works. I have a 4 bed 2 bath and as of now it’s been able to mop the whole house on one charge. Compact in size and easy to use. I love the maneuverability, it can mop corners and gaps easily. Floors are spotlessly clean. Be sure to vacuum first before mopping Only minor concern: The liquid dispense and power buttons are close to each other so it’s easy to press the wrong one until you get used to it. I wish it auto dispensed liquid.

Awesome Machine - Know What You're Buying!
This thing had saved my sanity since getting it 8 months ago. Unfortunately, our poor pup has bone cancer in his face. The tumor has grown into his nasal cavity and this combined with the after effects of radiation causes a constant draining of some really nasty stuff from his nose. On top of constantly spot cleaning the floor with disinfectant wipes, I also need to mop our hardwood floors at least twice a week to keep the mess under control. I was doing this manually with a libby mop, but the discharge can be sticky and hard to remove if dried, so I was killing my back trying to clean it up this way. The Bissell has made all of that so much easier. I knew buying it that it had a shorter battery life (I don't understand the complaints about this - do your research!), so I do pre-spray any more "sticky" spots prior to mopping. Doing this, I can clean our ~600 sq ft downstairs with battery still left. It's a tad more work, but I would still take this lightweight cordless mop over doing it manually or dragging a cord around. It's not an ideal situation, but having the Bissell spin mop has made caring for our dog less stressful. I agree you should check the spin plate screws occasionally as I have found them loose a few times. The Amazon mop pads are also better for scrubbing action (the Bissell pads that come with it are more absorbent). The cleaning solution that comes with it is good, but depending on what you're cleaning up, you may need to add an additional cleaner to help deodorize as the smell is very light.

Very happy. Perfect for maintenance between deep cleans.
I've had this for a week, have used it daily and already recommending it to friends. This has been a game changer for me. I have tried sooooooo many mopping systems, some way more expensive than this, with negative results but gave this a try after a trusted elderly friend of mine recommended it. I have kids and 3 large breed dogs so for me, is it a "deep" clean? No. I have a full size steamer for that which I drag out once a month or so, but this is perfect for quick maintenance in between deep cleans to where I anticipate having to pull out the full size steamer far less. Its perfect for daily touch ups of high traffic areas (and random dog prints). If one didn't have a high traffic house full of dogs/kids, I could actually see this being your primary mopping device. It gets up to base boards, corners well. I have back and ankle issues and find this VERY light, quick and easy to use. Yes, it self propels. Floor dries quickly. I feel very accomplished in my chaos within just a matter of minutes reminiscent of my single days before kids/pets when my house just stayed clean all the time. I bought enough extra pads to have a new set every day while only having to wash them all together in the washing machine with the rest of my household rags once per week. After daily use for a week, I'm still on the initial water/cleaner tank. My ONLY reason for 4 stars is the battery life. Once I got my time saving route/method down, the 20 min battery life does do what I need it to do in the high traffic areas of my 1800 square feet of hard floor but, I'd still prefer a longer battery life or the option of interchangeable batteries for more time to cover more space. It would likely then become my primary mopping system w/the steamer only coming out before the in laws visit but again, if you have less hard floor and/or less foot traffic, the 20 mins would be just fine.

Film, swirls and dirt is all that this ‘mop’ left behind
I had high hopes for this mop, but it did the complete opposite. First off, it’s awkward to use at best. I had a feeling this might be an issue, but I wanted to give it a try anyway. I was right, the opposite spinning of the pads makes you feel like you are using a big commercial floor polisher machine. It’s awkward. And it will get away from you just about like those big ones will. But obviously not as bad. Smaller scale. I used this under an area rug that I have in the living room. I wanted a good test area and since I only move this monster rug every few months, I knew it would be a good place to start. It’s always dirty under there. When I ordered this mop, I also ordered the hardwood floor disinfectant solution. That’s what I used for this test. The rug area is 10x7 and I stayed within that area. Thanks to my little guy and his walker rubbing up against the rug, he left me perfect guide lines to stay within (was not happy when I realized the walker was pulling the finish off my floors!!) My hardwood floors are 85 years old. They are beautiful and finicky. I started off with a spray of solution along the 7’ area and used that to get started. It doesn’t take much solution. The sprayer puts out quite a bit. But it’s pretty even and it doesn’t saturate an area. I do like that. As this was drying, I could easily see that my floor was very foggy and filmy looking. Common issue I have with these floors. I let it dry completely, grabbed the other set of pads and went again. Once dry, I not only saw serious fog, but I could also see swirl marks on my floor! Haziness is bad enough, but now I have swirls?! Got my old mop out and after going over the same area with it, the fog and swirls were gone and I was left feeling irritated at the new mop. I am not happy with this product at all. One of the worst things I have ever purchased. Included images to show the area I was starting with (the finish is a little duller under the rug because that’s pretty much where we hang out all day. All the toys and toddler activities go on on the rug. So it’s dulled the finish a little, but you can still tell the mop made it worse) Picture 1&2) Rug area with and without rug Picture 3) A very clear line between rug area where I had just cleaned and the area outside of the rug Picture 4) I drug my toes across the floor where I had just mopped with the SpinMop and you can see in the circled area the film that the solution left behind Picture 5) Very clear swirl marks left behind from mop Picture 6) My old mop and how dirty it was after going over the same area I had just cleaned with the SpinMop. Oh, and the battery only lasted long enough to do this area on a full charge. So, my 1500 square foot house will take days to mop with this thing. I am not impressed and will not be keeping this mop. And I will not recommend it to anyone.

Highly recommended and necessary
This cleaner is excellent, I highly recommend it. It's great for keeping your house clean, especially after cooking and when your kitchen is filthy. It's clean in just 3 minutes. It's very high quality; I've had it for 3 years and it has never let me down, even with daily use.

Great mop
I used to have a different cordless one, but it stopped working. My husband purchased this one for me and I love it. It is easy to use. Easy to fill with water. Moves well. The charge lasts for our entire 1st floor of our house. I love that is is cordless. I would recommend to anyone.
