It works well and is worth every penny
This stuff really works well. I did a couple of coats an still had a bunch left over. It really does help to lock in the foam. It dried very fast. I would 100% buy again but I won't have to because I still have a bunch. Great deal. Great heat retention. Easy to apply. Really toughens the foam, and it comes in a big bottle!

Easy to use and gets the job done
I was able to apply most of it with a handheld trigger sprayer, although after a while it became more difficult to spray down the kaowool. For some reason the solution wasn't shooting out of the nozzle as it was at first. The trigger sprayer was still able to work with plain water so no doubt it was whatever is suspended in the collodiial solution that might have affected the sprayer. The solution gave the kaowool a somewhat solid surface. It's actually more like crusted toast. The rest of it is still a bit springy, but the refractory wool isn't intended to act as any kind of structure. Most important is that the surface isn't fluffy and loose.

As advertised
Great colloidial silica sol for many purposes.

Works as advertised.
Works as stated in the description. I did a double saturation and it really firmed up the insulation very nicely. I would recommend this size for more than one small project and to maintain the rigidness of my original forge after several uses.

Good product
Only reason I didn’t give it a full 5* is because of drying time, works well, has good amount, just took days to dry for some reason

Satisfied with order
Works well to "fluff down" ceramic fibers. Can be brushed or sprayed on. Needs warm ventilation for a day to dry.

Arrived Quickly, Easy to Apply
I used it to render some old mineral insulation change from being dried out and crumbling to much harder and solid feeling. Make sure that you wear protective gloves because the silicate will severely dry out skin and irritate like the container says,.. much like cement does. It was very satisfying to see the covering set up firmly within 12 to 24 hours. (It sets faster if it is heated,. which of course a furnace does do. ;-) )

Couldn’t use the product half of the container was full of crystal and half water didn’t do anything to my ceramic blanket could of just put water it would of done the same!!! Really not satisfied

Dont water it down as much as they say too. Add a little bit of food colouring, it helps with application.

Was a little skeptical because it came clear instead of the other rigidizers that are blue. But worked well and cured up in a day
