Was craving indian chaat. This masala worked perfectly. I used these ingredients: 1 can of chickpeas (rinsed), half-1 medium boiled potato, 2 tbsp diced tomato, 2 tbsp chopped onions, 1-2 tbsp chopped cilantro, half tsp concentrated tamarind paste, a bit of salt, half-1 tsp cumin powder, half-1 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder and 1 tsp of this chaaat masala. A bit of sweetened yogurt thinned with water as topping. Perfect sweet, salty, tart, filing and healthy snack.

This is sooo nice and delicious. It tastes exactly like the chat masala I've made at home (from the book Vegan Richa's Indian kitchen) which involved lots of tempering, toasting and grinding. Too much drama when you can just buy this! Also, when I made my own chat masala, some moisture crept in unfortunately so it only lasted about a week in the cupboard. No such problems here! I didn't have all the ingredients for an aloo chat when this turned up, but eager to sample it, I improvised and made the dish you see in the picture - a dry potato curry with mustard seeds, cumin, curry leaves, garlic and coriander leaf, plus two level tbsp of this chat masala. I used cornflour to give it a delightful crispiness. I'm probably violating all sorts of Indian culinary norms but it tasted nice, sooo... It's super cheap too... I will definitely buy again!
