An excellent product
This is an excellent product that dies exactly what it says on the box. Sturdily built, u like most of the cheaper products but we'll worth the money. Installed itself without any problems and was delivered as on time as promised

UHD friendly, Good at reading scratched disc
The drive Vendor HL-DT_ST (Hitachi-LG), Product BH16NS40. Has the same specification as listed. Very good at reading scratched audio disks as other USB drives would disconnect. UHD friendly drive after firmware down degrade. Very hard to get these drives in the UK, some used on Ebay!

That it was heavy
I only gave it one star I wanted to be heavy not like all the others that are available you have to pick them up hold them in your hands to press the button to get the draw open where as this one doesn’t move around when you open the draw nice and heavy a good buy

Plays anything I've fed it !
Easy to install, OK, it's a bit pricey but it does what it says and plays anything I've put in it without complaining - A bit weird playing through GOM player but fine using VLC - job done.

Wrong part supplied
I'd like to say this was the best external disc that I've tried but I simply can't. The truth is I didn't get to try this as the supplied UK plug adaptor simply didn't fit the power supply. It seemed to me to be the wrong shape altogether. I returned this straightaway. Pity

No UK plug supplied
Excellent product but one star knocked off because a UK plug is not supplied so I had to spend extra on buying an adaptor.
