Heat is your friend!
First, off, I'm extremely impressed with this product. I put this on my new 2025 Dodge Durango. I'm getting the front end of my car wrapped in PPF, but I figured the rockers and inner doors I can handle on my own. As the model car I got is limited edition and one of the last FCA/Stellantis is making; I wanted to make sure my paint will last a long time. Especially fighting the Midwest seasons between rocks, snow, and salt.I made the mistake thinking I could us a slip solution on this project, I recommend only to spray it on your hands or nitrile/latex glove to prevent the adhesive from sticking to you, but not too much otherwise it won't stick to the car until the water evaporates. (Use a baby shampoo and water or buy a premix)More importantly, for absolute best results, clean the area with a microfiber towel and soapy water. Dry and then wipe down with Isopropyl Alcohol until dry to the touch. Then to begin installing your section:Carefully work about a foot or less at a time, sticking the edges where you want, then work your way top down then across in that order. Follow up with a heat gun to stretch and pull into position and smooth. If you don't have a heat gun, this will be very hard to work odd angles and contours. I then cut my edges to their ending points when I was satisfied. You'll have to be patient, especially if your a perfectionist like me. Constantly going back, check for bubbles/wrinkles reheating and then re-stretching. The labor is well worth the result, definitely can tell the thickness will stand up to tough road conditions. All in all well worth the investment!

Nice stuff!!
Used this on my 2016 F350 where the paint was starting to blister from being an old salt truck. Wiped the surface down with alcohol, heated up the panel and lined it up, and applied. Looks good, and should help with the rocks and gravel as well. Probably will buy more in the future.

Beats spending money to re-paint the truck!
I've had this product on my 2008 F250 for over a year and it's held up fairly well. The directions say to wrap it over the door edges and other parts of the truck but unfortunately when you do that it eventually peels off. You're better off cutting it to the exact length of the area you're covering with an exacto knife or razor blade. Make sure the surface is clean and you get all the air bubbles out. If you don't get all the air bubbles you can peel it back and re-affix it without it causing any problems. It's super sticky so make sure you measure and draw a line for levelness and asthetic look before installing. My truck had some rock chips along the bottom of the truck's doors and fender panels and this was product wide enough to cover them up.

Pay for professional install
I bought this product ro trim out my rocker panels on my 4x4 Dodge diesel. It can be applied with minimal prep and goes on rather easily after watching a YouTube video. It is very durable and sticks to flat surfaces well. However rounded corners and contoured lines? Not so much. I had to make several triangular cuts on rounded corners to get it to flatten out and was not sure I would be happy with the result. I did only one side of my truck and checked it the following morning to find that it was pealing up wherever I had rounded a corner or edge. I ended up peeling it off the same day and scrapping it. I prepped and rolled on Herculiner in its place and am very happy with the look. Still very happy with Amazon.

It looks good and dressed the vehicle up nicely
It looks good and dressed the vehicle up nicely. It does take some time, patience, and a heat gun to do a good job, but it can be done. I had never used this material before but I am familiar with doing similar jobs from some hobby stuff I do. If your surfaces are straight and have no curves or compound corners it will be a breeze. Hints to make it work better: Keep in warm area, I actually set it on a heat vent in the house to warm it up a little before starting, much more pliable, I then would use a heat gun or hair dryer to warm area to be applied to, just warm to the touch is fine, don't need to be hot, just not cold or even cool. Also make certain surface is clean, I wiped down with soap and water, then a final wipe with some alcohol to make sure all wax and grease were gone, surface does not need to be scuffed like you are putting a spray line on it.Overall the quality appears to be good, I just can't say for sure after such a short period of time. If it stays stuck on, as it should, I'd give 5 stars, if it starts to peel, no stars. It really does look good on our all white vehicle and appears very durable.

Rocker Panel Guard, even when rust abounds!
I bought this material to camouflage some body rust on a truck that still has life. This was by far the easiest, and least-expensive option to address this issue. I would highly suggest using this for any vehicle application as it is easy to work with and definitely provides a solid adhesion.

ROCKER PANEL FIX-UP
HAD A LARGE RUST THROUGH ON A PLYMOUTH BREEZE I PURCHASED USED. INSTEAD OF BONDO AND TOUCH UP PAINT, I USED BONDO AND XPEL TO COVER AND PROTECT AGAINST SALT AND PEA GRAVEL USED ON OUR WINTER ROADS. LOOKS GREAT AND WILL PROTECT BETTER THAN A THIN COAT OF PAINT.
