Eveready Floating Led Lantern Led 6 V Battery 50 Lumens White, Pack of 2

My daughter gave me this lantern and it is wonderful. I'm preparing an emergency kit of supplies for the drivers in my family. In addition to the lantern I'm including Mylar sleeping blankets, bottled water, can opener, paper towels, toilet paper and handi wipes and healthy snacks and duct tape. You can adjust these items according to the needs of your family. It could possibly save lives and the cost is minimal. Years ago my Mother was shopping with my sister when my sister went into insulin shock. My Mother went into Murphys and grabbed some candy bars. When she went into pay they wouldn't accept her money.

I may have written a review because The on/ off button cover came off one of The lanterns when I opened the package. I kept them instead of Giving them as a holiday present because of that issue. Interesting enough the lanterns are Very small and because of That I find myself using them every day. I had read a review about them being kid size lanterns. I keep one upstairs and the one with the defective on/ off switch Cover downstairs. I couldn't live without Them now. I am so happy with them. They give off a lot of light and are small enough that makes them really easy to use for everything When I need more light. So I don't care about the switch cover problem anymore.

Very useful. I bought a few of these and placed them in different places in the house. One is in the "safe" room -- the go-to place in times of severe weather. During the recent severe storm that swept from the south to the northeast, these flashlights were ready. When the tornado sirens went off in our area, these flashlights were on hand and also during power outages.

Flimsy, lightweight kids' toys, which didn't even survive shipping without damage. Might float briefly; but, likely wouldn't work. Only consider for a family outing or weekend family camping expedition, not anything which requires durability. Returned for refund.

The shatterproof lens is a piece a plastic. Getting the top screwed on is really difficult. I wouldn't buy it again.

Batteries are reasonably priced and seem to work just fine.

This is an affordable, emergency use, LED lantern, complete with 6 V battery. Nothing fancy, not designed for heavy duty use.
