Used to power LED's for a 3d printer. Worked great and still plenty of power to spare for more Mods.

The power supply is used to power a WS8212B LED strip and an ESP8266. At full brightness white color the strip consumes close to 5A with the voltage sustaining a little above 5V, Under these conditions the power supply brick becomes warm to touch. However, when we initially used the provided female socket adapter the adapter became hot and the voltage drop on the adapter connection was about 2.5V. That connector was radiating power like a small 12.5W soldering iron. In the end we cut the plug and connected the power supply permanently to the prototype board.

I bought this 5v 8a power supply to power my Atomic Pi (API). Before plugging it into my API, I used my Fluke multimeter to test the voltage. I got a reading of 5.39v. The API documentation says not to exceed 5.2v. Despite the fact that it exceeded the recommended voltage, I decided to try it anyway. I connected it to my API and it booted it up without any issues. While powering the API, the voltage reading is 5.15v. This ends up being perfect since slightly higher than 5v is desirable but exceeding the maximum safe voltage is not. My API has been running 24/7 for a week now without any issues. I will update my review if anything changes, but so far I recommend this power supply. Make sure you use a multimeter to measure the voltage before using it for your project since there could be deviation from one unit to the other.

Edit - After placing this review, Aclorol messaged PM'd me and after some basic troubleshooting, sent a new power supply. I appreciate the customer service This stopped working after 5 weeks of sporadic use. It conveniently stopped working shortly after Amazon's (very short) return period ended.

This is a solid & substantial power supply. It is high quality & can handle everything 5V that you could need it for. To be honest, it almost feels like overkill for what I am using it for, which is just to power a strip of addressable LED lights that I installed around my daughter's bed. It far exceeds my intended use for it & I'm sure it would yours too!

It works, but highly doubt you would get 75 watts out of it on any application. At 24.3 watts, voltage drops to 4.6-4.7V. DO NOT buy if using for solo BTC miners, only able to get 24.4 Watts before voltage drops too low.

This item does not hold power well. If the adapter isn’t sitting a certain way then the power goes in and out. I’m a dj and this happened to me three times during a wedding before I realized that it was the adapter. I even bought a second one thinking that first one was just a bad one in the batch, the second one started to go in a f out of power as soon as I plugged it in. I do not recommend this product.

I power a 5amp string of led lights. Works like a charm

Description says that "It comes with a free female DC connector (5.5mmx2.5mm)" But it did not include one. Now I have to look for one. Boo

Compré la fuente de 5v y 8A, al momento de utilizarla para alimentar un servomotor ni siquiera pudo accionarlo, ademas de solo otorgar un amperaje de 3A

Buena calidad, funciona sin problemas. Lo recomiendo.

El eliminador es muy útil en especial el adaptador que incluye. En mi caso lo dejé conectado a un Arduino ( evita estar conectando los cables de alimentación) y solo tengo que conectarlo al enchufe de la casa. Sirvió Perfecto para alimentar 6 PWM
