Worked well for new connector on vintage pinball machine
I had about 60 or 70 new pins I needed to crimp on to repair some molex connectors on my 1971 Bally pinball machine. This tool worked well and the machine is working after being down for several years

Works well
I used these on an electrical project to connect about a dozen molex connectors. I'd never used this type of crimper before but it was easy to use and got the job done. The price was also great as I didn't want to break the bank on a tool I'll probably only use a couple times per year. If I needed to crimp connectors on a daily basis I'd probably invest in a more expensive tool, but for occasional use this tool worked fantastic.

Not for 18-24 molex pins from Amazon.
I bought 2-pin molex connectors 18-24 AWG from Amazon (ASIN B074M1RZHX). The metal on this tool is too wide for these pins. When you try to crimp the wire, part of the insulation tabs are caught and crushed messing up the crimp. The distance between the insulation tab and the stop tabs (which must not be crushed) is .151”. The tool metal is .16” so it does not fit. Real molex pins may have a wider gap for the bare wire part. (Check Mouser or Digi-Key). As mentioned in one of the YouTube videos on how to use the tool the metal of the tool must be ground down on a bench grinder or milled on a milling machine by a machinist. I ground mine to .14” to give me .01” clearance, placement is tricky. I might grind some more. I was able to make 2 connections after working for a half hour and going through 4 tries. This is the learning curve. Buy extra pins and sockets. Practice on scrap wire. Look at several YouTube videos to pick up valuable tips. You need good eyesight as the parts are small. Jewelers head magnifiers and bright light are a good help. Keep the pins oriented correctly, not rotated, in the jaws.

You need to make sure the connector/ terminal is in crimp tool before crimping
The tool it self works great and with the various die / crimp sizes it does the job for the price. You need to keep an eye on how you have the terminal in the proper crimp jaw before crimping, it is very close between the wire crimp portion and the insulation crimp portion. I had no problems with the connectors I used. I used it to make a control cable between a HF tuner and a HF radio. Like some reviews said you have to have the connector oriented correctly before crimping. If the crimp doesn't seem tight enough you can go to the next size smaller and try crimping for a better crimp too. All in all they seem to work pretty good for the average day person to use, not sure for a contractor business.

Worked great on Allison 20 pin transmission connectors!

Having considered many different crimpers from ratched to these manual crimpers I opted for these based on a number of good reviews. I already own a cheap Chinese ratchet set, that tended to crush the connector more than create a good join. I used these on the same connectors and each time they produced a perfect connection. They also handle a lager range of wire guage than others I considered. The machining is also good in that the jaws line up well. These are single crimping in that you do the connection part of the crimp first, then the crimping of the wire insulation. Very pleased with my purchase.
