A Cut Above!
I purchased these shears for my wife, who is a licensed beautician. It is important to keep in mind that at this price, you are not buying top of the line professional grade shears. To compare these to $300 or higher shears is not realistic. The shears appear to be well made. They are sharp, handle nicely and cut well. As with most "economy' shears I would anticipate they will dull a bit quicker than higher grade products. My wife uses these as a backup. If you are a working professional who cuts on a regular, I would suggest these only as a backup/emergency pair. If, on the other hand, you plan to use these for yourself, your family, or other light use (something less frequent that "every day") you will probably like these very much. As far as the product itself, these multi-colored shears are the e45 RAZECO model. The shear length is 5.5" and they are constructed of J2 420C stainless steel. They are "titanium coated" but its debatable what, if any, durability this adds. It should add some hardness to help retain sharpness, but a coating is simply not as good as a blade which contains titanium. The shears have a removable finger rest as well as rubber inserts to cushion the finger holes. A stainless steel grade of 420 is considered to be "cutlery grade." The package include a black vinyl triangle "pouch", not a case, so be advised should you visit the manufacturer's web site and see the nicer case in the product description. They also include a clear, plastic tip cover. This is for shipping, but you can use it if you like for storage. Survorna also sells a higher level product line. Those are the RAZPRO line. The shear blades are made of 440C grade steel, which is better than the RAZECO's 420 grade. Other differences, depending on the exact model: the finger rest is curved (but not detachable), the thumb hole can swivel, and the case is nicer. The "pro" line sells for only a little more than the economy line. Again, at the price point, I do not think you can compare either product line to professional grade shears. For the price, and light usage, I think these scissors are more than adequate, and the non-daily user will be quite pleased with the performance. I might have rated these a 5, but for two things: I need to use the shears a bit longer to gauge their durability, and the maker has to update their website so they don't mislead consumers by advertising a better case then is shipped with the product. If you are wondering about steel grades in general: 440 stainless steel comes several sub-grades, the most common being 440A, 440B, and 440C. The 440C contains the most carbon. This makes it the hardest of the 440 grades, and harder than the 420, so the 440 lends itself to better edge-retention. After 440 grade steel, you are looking at higher grade shears. The next grade up is S (contains cobalt), then V (contains vanadium and/or titanium), and ATS (contains cobalt, vanadium and titanium). IMPORTANT NOTE: Steel grade is just one important aspect of a shears' quality. The tempering process and overall workmanship also weigh heavily into the performance and life-span of the product.

Very sharp, nice size for an avg. woman’s hand
Very nice scissors. I’m not a professional stylist. I bought these to cut my husband’s hair. I had to learn to cut his hair during Covid and now he won’t go back to his barber. I guess I do a decent job. I’ve tried four pair of scissors in the five years I’ve been cutting his hair, and these are definitely the best. Perfect for this amateur.

Perfect for haircuts at home
I spent a lot of time reading and researching scissors and scissor metals before deciding on this pair. These are the least expensive pair of scissors from a company that makes high quality professional scissors. The main difference between these scissors and scissors made from more expensive metals is how frequently they will need sharpening and their total lifespan. A pair of scissors made out of a relatively soft metal like these will need sharpening about every 50-100 haircuts. A pair of scissors made from Hitachi steel (high end 440c) could go 25x longer before needing sharpening. Scissors will only tolerate being sharpened about 4-5 times before needing to be replaced. If you are a professional hairdresser doing 10 cuts a day, this is the difference between needing to send your scissors out for sharpening every couple of weeks vs every year and replacing every 2 months vs several years. However if you are just doing home haircuts the softer steel is just fine. I figure these scissors will last my family about 2 years before even needing to be sharpened the first time. I have a Tri-Angle Sharpmaker which will easily sharpen these value scissors at home to a scary edge sharpness. High end/harder steel scissors would be much more difficult to sharpen and may need to be sent to a professional for best results. Even though the more expensive scissors still look like a better deal on paper (They cost 5-10x more and last 25x longer). The reality in my family is that long before they wear out from proper use they are likely to get dropped or borrowed (despite my precautions) for something that will ruin them. So I'll stick with the $20 scissors and, unless you are a professional, you probably should too. These will function nearly identically to much more expensive scissors and if my son borrows them to cut a twist tie <cringe> I won't feel like crying.

Sharp, and professional quality
These scissors are fantastic! They feel solid, easy to use, and the blades are incredibly sharp, making clean, smooth cuts every time. I’ve used them for both trims and full cuts, and they handle thick and fine hair equally well. The build quality is excellent, and they feel like they’ll last a long time with proper care. Definitely a step up from standard scissors, perfect for anyone doing hair at home or in a salon. Highly recommend if you want reliable, professional-grade shears that deliver precision without pulling or snagging.

Love it. First time used it for a big chop, I love how it didn’t snag any hairs and my hair doesn’t feel like there are dead ends when I run my hands through them. Worth it. It’s sharp, high quality and I’m excited to see how I holds up in the future!
