Simple tool that works well!
Simple. Works well. Worth it to me for accurate safe cuts. Used with a handheld router and a compression bit. I cut 1/2 inch thick acrylic for marine hatch boards accurately. Boards were too big for my tablesaw with its sliding auxillary table.

Great buy!
This was so inexpensive, I bought it as a throwaway if it didn’t work. I was blown away by the speed of set up and the accuracy. It turned my circular saw into a track saw. That is a big statement, but my cuts are very accurate and I have used this many times since the purchase. I highly recommend this as a very price effective alternative to the expensive track saws. I really wanted an excuse to buy a track saw. Now that I have this tool, I will not be buying a track saw. That is the bad news, but the good news is I can use the money saved to buy some other tool. I did make a little jig to help with the setup. I cut a piece of wood the width of the edge of my circular saw to the blade. I draw the cut line, lay down the straight edge, place the jig on the line, move the straight edge against the jig into place and clamp it. I do the same with the other end and ready to cut. I thought about making the jig for several weeks and finally took the two minutes to measure and make it. It made things so much easier and faster. Also improved accuracy because it is now dead on.

Very good straight edge
Good product, makes a difference especially on 8' panels for marking straight lines.

Decent for the price.
Decent for the price. I bought this to make straight cuts on lumber that was too big for me to handle on a table saw. I used another level to assemble/check it, which made a difference. The bar that joins the two halves is smaller than the slots, so there's wiggle room until it's tightened down. The C clamps were kind of a pain. I bought some 4" deep 35lb spring clamps and they did the trick. I also marked my piece with pencil so I could keep an eye out for flex in the center. Worked fine for what I needed.

Good tool
This tool has been worth it. I have used it for a few years now and am happy whenever I have to use it. The extension works just fine and I draw a straight line every time. Also the metal has not tarnished.

Works great if you know what to expect
I bought this to trim slab doors I was installing. This tool worked exactly as expected to trim 1/4 inch off of the $300 frosted glass doors. Since I was trimming such a small amount I needed the wide part of the saw shoe on the door which meant the motor would contact the thumbs screws and the clamps holding the guide in place. Also, the guide is so long there was a little flex in the middle. Rather than use the C clamps I used spring clamps to hold the guide in place, then use the screws ( provided) instead of the thumb screws to hold the two pieces of the guide together. To minimize flexing I also taped the guide in place green painters tape. It worked very well. Recommend 100%

I love this thing!
I've got a nice Table saw that works well but it can be scary to use especially for one person. But I found a way to cut 4x8 sheets of siding by placing a 4x8 sheet of foam insulation board down on a clean carport, setting the blade depth on my Dewalt cordless circular saw just a micrometer below the width of the plywood I'm cutting. Then I use two little spring-loaded clamps to hold this guide into place, one clip on each end. Now I'm ready to cut straight line and even angled lines. Oh, my table saw doesn't cut angles well. Yes, the foam board will be ultimately sacrificed, but I'll bet I've got 50 cuts off this cheap stuff and it's still got hundreds of cuts left if not more. Being on my knees, makes guiding the saw effortless and much safer than having the plywood up on sawhorses. There is no shifting of my position needed. Just crawl forward with the battery powered circular saw and presto.

Nice quality straight edge. When using the full length I found it needed to be secure at the half way point to avoid flexing away from the line. Simple fix. I would buy this again if needed.

Its alright. While tightening it, mine bends a little in the contact point of the two pieces . But its alright gets the job done.
