I am an older, slender woman. Long ago, I decided that I would not be held hostage by furniture that I cannot move. I just inherited this solid, custom-built gem of a chest (created around 1990). It is made of 1" plywood (yes, that is correct) with laminate. It is a well-made BEAST and I cannot part with it. I also cannot move it due to the weight. The solution? I just added these beautiful, 2" clear, heavy-duty casters that can handle 500# total weight! I simply created a cardboard template so that I could position the base so that the wheels barely cleared the sides of the chest. Installation was a breeze. It was a bear to get the chest standing upright again, but determination pays off. I love how the bottom of the furniture barely clears the carpet so that you cannot see the wheels. And it rolls like a breeze on 1/2 inch carpet! I am planning on buying more of these to make my life easier!

I love these wheels. The clear color makes it pleasing to look at. It's really pretty and almost invisible. It makes my ottoman look like it's floating. These wheels support a lot of weight. We sit and stand on the ottoman sometimes. They are easy to install and come with screws. The wheels do squeak a little bit, but they roll smoothly! I would definitely purchase again, but I may not have to, the quality is so good it may outlive the ottoman! Definitely an upgrade from the legs that the ottoman came with. The price is unbeatable!

I've bought two sets of these casters and they're far superior to the original casters & wheels. They don't mark up the floors, they swivel very smoothly and roll with very little effort. Huge improvement! Installation is super easy, and they can easily hold a lot of weight. The second set I received made an awful noise whenever I'd put weight on them, so I was concerned that they were defective. I contacted the manufacturer, and they told me to try lubricating them. While I assumed they'd come from the factory pre-lubed, I decided to give it a try. I used white lithium grease (highly recommend that stuff btw) and that fixed the problem. The manufacturer also informed me that since I purchased the casters from Amazon, there's no warranty on them other than Amazon's return policy. I'm not too bothered by that since I'd rather have a good product than a good warranty. Overall, I'm pleased with these and would purchase them again.

Exactly what I wanted. Roll smoothly and quietly

I had ordered a metal mobile file holder for which the wheels did not work on carpet. (Note: I have another type of mobile file that works great on hard floors or carpets.) The wheels on the new file holder were so bad I built a wood base to put under the holder and ordered these wheels to install on the wood base. The wheels come with a screw driver, screws and wheels. They were easy to install on the pine base. The issue is that these wheels are not so great on carpet, even the very flat office type. I am getting by with it but may wind up replacing them in the future. On hardwood floors they work fine.

Excellent product, doesn’t scuff. It actually works like a fine tuned machine, unlike the wheels that came with the unit that constantly locked up.

These are great casters - they are solid, they swivel easily and smoothly and are quiet. I used them for the bottom of the tower beside my bed because with my adjustable bed I can't reach the shelves, but I don't want it in the middle of the room when the bed is not raised

Great, as expected. Good swivel, good for soft or hard surfaces (I use them on asphalt). Comes with a free screwdriver so you don’t really need tools unless you want to use a drill.

Got these for a fishing cabinet. The castors seem very sturdy and the wheels are very nice. Don't slide on the floor like a plastic wheel will but they roll nice and smooth. They could however keep the screwdriver and reduce the price some as it's a very soft metal and the head of the screwdriver strips very easily. All in all a very nice set.
