Great aroma and beard conditioner - bought it once and coming back for more...
Bought it once and I'm back for more. Love that you can leave it in in the white conditions the beard but the smell is the big way. What a great aroma and conditioner.

Smells amazing!
Works as described. Lasts all day. Smells amazing. Kinda like root beer. Does leave the beard kinda dull looking. Not a shiny finish at all. But, it makes it soft.

Almost perfect
Have been used a lot of bear moisturizer in the last decade and this one is at the top 3 of beard moisturizer. People said in the reviews that it has a “citrusy” or “woodsy” smell or whatever, but it smells like your typical hair cream. Don’t know if it’s because I’m getting old, but the smells only lingers for a minute, not worth to take down a star when it works so **** good.

EXTREMELY long lasting scent.
Firstly, I liked how the product absorbed into the skin and beard pretty quickly. The initial smell reminded me of...root beer?? In a good way, the vanilla-ish, spices and some underlying earthiness, when you put it on, it's amazing and the beard cream is fluffy and not oily at all. Not the bad....the scent stays with you forever....the first time, I followed the instructions, which says to use generously and the scent lasted all day without evolving. I washed my beard pretty heavily that same night and noticed the scent was still there, maybe at 75% power, and after 3 showers, I can still detect it in my beard....not a fan of something that clings like that, if this was able to be washed out completely with shampoo, then I'd be a bigger fan, but I ended up giving it to a friend of mine who prefers that. So if you like eternal scents of root beer (in a good way), this is definitely going to be up your alley. I kinda wish this company had other scents to choose from with this particular beard cream.

Best Scotch Porter product—excellent softening and control for coarse beards
Verdict: Lightweight, effective, and versatile—this is easily the strongest product in Scotch Porter’s lineup in my experience. I’ve used several Scotch Porter products, and this Restorative Leave-In Beard Conditioner is, in my opinion, the best one they make. Performance & feel: It does an excellent job softening coarse facial hair without feeling heavy or greasy. The texture is lightweight, spreads easily, and absorbs well, making it easy to use daily. It noticeably reduces dryness and frizz while adding a healthy amount of shine. Control & styling benefit: One unexpected benefit is how well it helps with shape and control. My beard tends to get wavy as it gets longer, and using this consistently helps tame that curl and keeps my beard noticeably straighter and more manageable. I’m not sure if that’s an intended benefit, but it’s been very consistent in my experience. Routine compatibility: This really shines when paired with a good beard oil or beard balm. Used together, it creates a combination that’s hard to beat for softness, hydration, and overall beard appearance—especially for coarse or dry beards. Value: At $10.82 for 4 oz ($2.71/oz), it’s reasonably priced and lasts a while since you don’t need much per use. Bottom line: If you’re only going to try one Scotch Porter product, this should be it. It’s effective, versatile, and works extremely well as part of a proper beard care routine. Good choice if: you have coarse, dry, or frizz-prone facial hair and want softness without heaviness. Skip it if: you prefer a one-step oil-only routine.
