Lovely Sound
I have 2 other Hohner harmonicas. Both are good. I bought a Super Chromonica through Warehouse Deals as an upgrade from a £1 diatonic harmonica I bought from a gift shop in Skegness many years ago which I started to play a few months back. The chromatic harmonica had a lovely sound even though I ordered a C and got a G and one of the blowholes wouldn't work until I had filled out the Amazon return form... But that's a different harmonica.I bought this Special 20 and a Rocket to test them out. I have to say I'm very pleased with both purchases.Hohner harmonicas seam to be easy to use. They slide along well and are light to blow and draw. They all have given me a good number of pleasurable hours. Based on the 3 that I have used I do recommend Hohner brand harmonicas. The Chromonica I should have bought new but then that's the chance we take with Warehouse Deals.

Great Harp and a Fantastic merchant!
OK, I'm a novice. My father used to play a Hohner Marine Band when I was a kid and I always had an inkling that one day I would like to be as good as he was. After viewing lots of reviews and tutorials on You tube I opted for hohners 'Special 20' as it has a plastic comb and is not affected by swelling or warping as wooden combs can be so the plates stay tightly sealed to the comb so as not to leak air whilst playing. It is worth looking at 'Sonnyboys' series of harmonica reviews and demos of all the harps they sell - of course the 'Special 20' is highly recommended.I was delighted to see that the 'Special 20' is hand made in Germany and not China as some are. It also comes in a rugged custom fit plastic case to keep it safe and clean. As a foot note I must state that the service from the merchant 'Sonnyboys music store' was outstanding! After my first harmonica was swiped out of the package by our glorious Royal Mail, they dispatched me a replacement that was received less than 24 hours later.

You won't be singing the blues, unless you're in a blues band and doing so intentionally
I'm learning the harmonica, and after seeing reviews etc most people said this was an ideal one for beginners. It has a decent weight and feels very well made, also produces a great sound. Very happy

Incredible Musical Instrument
My face fell when I opened the envelope containing the plastic box holding this harmonica. It was tiny, yet all the pundits advised this was the starter to buy. Since I lost the use of left hand, the sound I could make with my old instrument was monotonous even to my ears. But the sound this harmonica produced was loud, sharp and easily produced. Only 10 holes, but each one a challenge to produce yet another harmonious chord. Well worth the money.

Lots of volume and great tone. In other reviews elsewhere its rated highly ...
Its the second Special 20 I now own. Lots of volume and great tone. In other reviews elsewhere its rated highly which is why I bought the first one. Experts may want a wooden structured harp or a more expensive model but this is just great for most people.

Now it's all up to me
As a total beginner to the harmonica I did a lot of reading to determine what type I should begin to learn with. I think the Hohner Special 20 is ideal. Well made with a really pleasant tone,( even in my unskilled hands) it comes with a hany hard case too. A fair price for a nice little harmonica. After 10 days my progress is slow but reassuring ! A lot of fun for not much money. My only gripe is the really slow delivery. A week for UK delivery is crazy.
