0 install issues
This case upgrade is designed to work for Lancool 2 cases only, which makes me wonder if the was the installation issue some people have noted in other reviews. I had mine installed in about 10 minutes, and everything worked and lined up perfectly, used all the appropriate screws. The instructions are very vague, but I've been tinkering inside PCs for over a two decade and work on cars professionally, so I'm quite adept at taking things apart and putting back together. Lian Li does have a video on Youtube for installing this, I only glanced at it once before I ordered it, but it would be a better instruction than the included paper. *My computer case is the Lancool 2 Mesh RGB version.*

Works well
I've learned that not all HDDs play nicely with hot swapping. I still left this installed because of the convenience. 10/10

Good, but be careful on what drives you pick
I ordered this so I could swap out a drive in case I needed to do something with another drive. Recieved it earlier today and installed it, I installed with the drives already in place, I screwed a total of 6 screws in the corners and the middle holes on the board for a snug fit. The reason for the 3 stars is because the top drive doesn't get detected by my system, the rest does. I have yet to find a solution but am willing to change from 3 star to a 4 or 5 depending on how simple of a fix it is, and will also update explaining how I fixed the issue Edit: I think i figured out the issue that was causing the problem. The drives i was using and what most people are trying to use doesnt support hot swapping natively. The only drives i had that could constantly read was the WD Blue 4tb(i only have the 4tb to test with). I originally had 2 WD Blue with a 8tb hdd i pulled from a external hard drive, which didnt work. I went and bought a WD Black 4tb from best buy and had the same issue. Just to be on the safe side i was swapping the WD Blues between each bay making sure each bay was actually working as intended and they all were working. So i returned the WD Black and replaced with a WD Blue 4tb. So far i havent had any other issues and have increased the rating from 3/5 to 4/5. If you want a guaranteed to work drive, try the WD Blues, if all else return either this product or the drive

As described
Diffcult to find this optional part in Thailand. Finally, I can get it. Fast shipping as usual.

I like the idea, but did not work for me.
I liked the idea of this but it did not work well for me. First and foremost the instructions were a bit unclear. It wasn't sure if I had to remove the existing plate or not from the instructions but when messing around with it I did. Installation was not bad, however fitment after it being installed was a slight problem. One of the holes on my was not position correctly which pretty much messed up how it worked. Once I did get it in place due to the mis aligned hole drives would not slide in and out and had to be finessed into place which does away with the hole idea of it to begin with. I was able to return for a refund. Buy or not be just be careful when installing and then attaching drives.

Works as Intended. Cleans up a SATA Data / Power Connection by Only Using 2 of Each
Screwed right into place, and works just fine. Two drives (bays 2 & 3) will share SATA data and power, which isn't an issue. My SSDs rarely saturate the "600MB/s" throughput of SATA 3. Just install the drive that's heavily used into the 1st bay, and secondaries into 2 & 3. I like it. Thanks

Beware - Lancool II 3X (LAN2-3X) backplate may cause short
Bought this to make the cabling on my 3x 3.5" HDDs neater. But I ran into several problems instead. TLDR; tried two, you are better off not using this backplate and directly connect to SATA cables instead 1. The small 1 sheet-single side "instruction" pamphlet is incomplete. It does not mention removing the metal backplate with 4 screws pre-installed on the drive cage. 2. The 4 stubs on the backplate do not do a good job of aligning the plate such that all drives can slot in. When "properly" aligned only two of the slots are usable (either top 2 or bottom 2). The plate also flexes on the bottom part and needs help by pushing from the back for the sata connector to connect. When I tried installing the plate without the screws to see how it naturally sat, the alignment stubs were way off which explains the fitment issue. 3. It was weird how only 2 SATA cables are supplied and only 2 SATA power attachments were present. I reasoned to myself that the drives run off the same cable in the PSU anyway so it should be fine right? No, with all three HDDs connected the PC would not complete POST. It hung at the BIOS screen with all fans spinning at max speed. When I tried to recycle the PC it would only partially boot, turn itself off, repeat rapidly 3 times which scared me! I powered the unit off then unplugged the drives plus backplate. The PC was fine again after 2 power cycles, but that was harrowing. It was either shorting (noticed the paint scrapes off where screws heads are to reveal a copper layer) or tripping the PSU from the 2 power connectors trying to run 3 drives. Not sure which but this is not satisfactory. My PC was running fine with drives directly attached. All that changed was this back plate. And it wasn't my first one either. The previous one only the top slot worked, which I think was a fit issue. This second one got further, but not in the right direction. I have used Lian Li products since the days of Pentium. Never before have I been so disappointed in one of their products. This one is going to be returned.

Works with all SATA drives and I love the hot swap design.
Secure fit, good design and works amazing, wish it came with the case but still was worth the extra purchase.

This hot swap plate works flawlessly, I don't know why others are saying it doesn't work because it worked perfectly for me, as long as you install it as per the instructions, line it up on the raised bumps on the drive caddy and fit ALL 6 screws this functions exactly as it should, fit the HDD in the tray, slot it in and bingo all working perfectly.

Específico para o gabinete em questão (Lian Li Lancool II). Adiciona um backplane para as gavetas de HDD/SSD SATA, bem como um kit de acrílico para encaixar nas gavetas, transportando a iluminação dos LEDs (azuis) de atividade.
