Hovis nice fresh taste and good value.
I am pleased I get our deliveries frim mirrisins via amazon. As I woukd not like to climb that hill in the advert to get my hovis loaf. This is a soft farmhouse bread with a firm crust. Great for toast, bread pudding, sandwiches and bread and butter pudding. A good all rounder and not so thick!

Doesn't freeze well.
When I buy bread it is always put in the freezer as I take a while to use a loaf and this stops it going stale and mouldy. I do like the farmhouse style loaves and usually buy another brand but that wasn't available at my delivery so this was the next best option. It doesn't freeze well, even in the sealed bag the edges got freezer burn, and defrosting in the microwave made the bread dry in places. I've not had this issue with any other bread just this one. It is a nice tasting bread and aside from arriving squashed, due to lack of skill from Morrisons packers, made a nice sandwich- albeit the dry bits. Probably use this in an emergency but will stick to my other farmhouse bread.
