This is very hefty (and heavy). It is easy to install, though you do have to buy the pipe braces for the receiver part (with 2 holes) to fit your particular gate.I put it on a 1 5/8" gate... it goes on, but is a very sloppy fit... I'll probably try to figure out how to put some bushings in it or something.

Replaced an old gate that used the metal rod into the ground, which is always a pain.This is slightly larger than the pipes on my gate and flops around a bit but not bad. The real issue is I can't get a padlock (normal size) to hang to access from either side of the gate. It will not slide around the loop on the padlock and will only lock facing in or out of the gate, which is problematic if it’s locked the opposite side that I need to access.

Item as described. Very pleased i used this to lock and latch a 25ft rolling gate.
