I watched some videos on this product. They used the lighter version and had poor results. So I opted for the medium to dark version. I purchased three cans in total. There is so much moose in one of these cans. You can easily cover an entire body twice over with one can.. I tried a small amount on one very white leg and noticed no change at all to my leg the next day but I noticed my palms had changed colour so i knew it would work. I’m 6, 4” male easily covered my entire body with half a can. It takes a while to get the mousse to totally soak in but if you give your skin a good covering and constantly massage the mousse in, eventually it starts to soak in. The next day my palms were quite dark and I could see my whole body changing to a bronze colour. The only problem is my head is almost shaven and I only went around the edges of my hair line and not over my whole head. I could clearly see the uneven line between white of my head and the tanning mousse. So I used the rest of the cans and coated my entire body and head this time and when I looked in the mirror the next day the results were amazing. The line in my hair line had totally gone and blended in very evenly. My whole body was glowing a nice bronze colour. When I went to work I could see people were staring so I might have gone a bit too dark straight away. I went from white to bronze in two days. It lasted 5 days for me. My palms went very dark and as it wore off my palms it started to look a bit nasty on them. The rest of my body looked fine though. I found it to be totally streak free. Easy to apply. Inexpensive. Last a week. Hardly any odour at all. Made me feel good about myself. Much cheaper than sun beds. There was no residue left on clothing, towels or bedding either. Very good product. I only used one tin, applied it twice over two days and went from white untanned to an nice bronze colour.

This self tan is really good. It goes on like a dream...a light mousse that blends well. The smell is nice and doesn't change once the product is dry. It takes a few days for the colour to build but leaves a really natural bronze colour. The downside - the bottles are small so if you're using it regularly it might only last a week or so. Also, the colour is medium to dark but I think there should be a dark as it stops at a certain shade and would be great to go a bit darker

I love this gradual tanning mousse. Have been using for a couple of years now. Easy to apply, nice fragrance. Leaves your skin feeling well moisturised and gives a lovely even glow that looks so realistic!

I love this gradual tanner. I'm very pale and the dark gives a really natural warmth to my skin. I tend to get streaks with lotions, but not this. I'm also allergic to fake tan but this doesn't react at all. So easy to just keep topping up every couple days. No need to scrub everything off before you start again, just a quick buff in the shower then apply this again. It's a rich and creamy mousse, a little goes a long way! I like to apply with my hands then use a body make up type brush to just run over the area and buff residue into feet and hands.

I love Dove products and was excited to see they were selling the mousse gradual after having great success with the summer revived lotion. However, I'm not a huge fan, not because of the finish but because the colour is not as dark as I'd like (preference-based), and it is unbelievably sticky after applying. I hate the stickiness, which goes for all tans, if it doesn't melt into the skin and stay dry but hydrated, I'm not a fan. As for scent, Dove does a great job at keeping these fairly inoffensive. Has a slight smell but not overpowering. The mousse does blend in really nicely though, and I even did some physical activity the night of application and it didn't go patchy or streaky (had let it dry in for about an hour before). I think it could probably work for someone else who is looking for a subtle boost (tans the hands really well), but not great for a deep tan if that's what you want. Just can't get over the stickiness.

Fantastic gradual tan. I use this to top up my tan once a week and it is my favourite. Very hydrating and doesn't smell bad like other tans!

I really like this gradual tan, it sinks into the skin beautifully and it’s so easy to apply. Your skin feels like it’s getting moisturised at the same time. The only downside is that I found it really sticky. Even waking up through the night it was still sticky, just didn’t seem to dry fully. If you can get past that it’s a lovely colour and you wake up to a nice glow.
