Blueair Classic Air Purifier with Particle Filter

I bought this BlueAir Classic 405, as my seasonal allergies were exceptionally bad this year. I spotted this unit on offer, so decided to try it. Wow! It's really good. I have this in our Living Room and it runs 24/7, usually on the Medium setting. What a difference! The air is so lovely and clear and I've noticed a lot less dust, pet dander in the room. I feel less irritated and my breathing is better. Since buying this one, I have purchased the BlueAir Pure 221 for our bedroom, and 2x BlueAir Pure 411 for other areas of the house. I've been so impressed with them all. I like the low noise levels and minimal power use, which I am very mindful of these days. In terms of the noise, on the Low and Medium setting's you will hardly hear it working. Only on the High setting, you will hear the fan. This unit has 3 power levels which you control from either the controls at the top of the main unit, or via the App. The unit can connect to your home WIFI and be controlled via your phone, or you can just use the buttons on the unit itself. I like using the App and you can setup timers. For example, I have the unit on maximum setting between 8:30pm-1:30am, which is when my electricity is the cheapest. After 1:30 until 8am, it's on the lowest setting and from 8am to 8:30pm it's on medium. You can always override the timers, using the buttons, or the App. It really is simple to use and as I said, if you don't want to you the smart functions, you don't have to. I guess the only downside will be the cost of the filters, which they recommend changing every 6 months, depending on use. Having said that, this unit is really helping keep my allergies at bay, so it's worth the cost. Also, just to add, I have 2 large Golden Retriever dogs and these units have helped to keep the house fresher and less 'doggy'!

I already had one of these and so I knew how effective it was. Pleased with the additional one. It's function over form really, but it does function particularly well. Can make some noise on the highest setting but you can actually feel it shifting the air and that's what makes it more effective than less powerful alternatives.

Bought this because I got tired of clouds of cigarette smoke in the house, purchased the Smokestop filter separately. This air purifier makes so much difference to air quality in our house. I wasn't sure whether the 205 unit would be sufficient but it's a beast even on the lowest setting. The whole unit feels very sturdy and has two handles on either side so it's easy to move. It comes ready to use from the box and connecting it to the wifi was easy as well. I like that there are only three buttons on the top of the unit, nothing too complicated. The filter is a breeze to change. I'd like to purchase a second unit for the upstairs as well.

I recently purchased an air purifier from Amazon with high hopes of improving the air quality in my home. Unfortunately, my experience with this product and the subsequent customer service has left me feeling extremely disappointed. First and foremost, the air purifier failed to live up to its claims. It was supposed to cool and purify the air effectively, but it fell short on both counts. The cooling function was practically non-existent, and the purification capabilities were underwhelming at best. The air quality in my home remained largely unchanged, and I found myself questioning the effectiveness of this supposedly advanced device. To make matters worse, when I decided to return the faulty air purifier, I was shocked to discover that I had to pay £13.45 out of my own pocket for the return. As a loyal Amazon Prime member for many years, I expected better treatment and a hassle-free return process. It is simply unacceptable to charge customers for returning a defective item that failed to perform its intended function. The lack of proper customer service from Amazon only added to my frustration. Despite trying to reach out to their support team multiple times, I received no satisfactory resolution or explanation for the additional return cost. It is disheartening to see a company of Amazon's stature neglecting its loyal customers and failing to take responsibility for their faulty products. In conclusion, my experience with this air purifier and Amazon's customer service has been nothing short of disappointing. The product failed to deliver on its promises, and the added inconvenience and cost of returning it only added insult to injury. As a consumer, I expected better quality control and support from both the manufacturer and the retailer. I hope that Amazon takes this feedback seriously and works towards improving their customer service and product quality in the future.

A great purifier, but has very limited Alexa integration; the only commands which work are power on and power off.

Very good air filter, effective for me (bedroom, asthma) and quiet. BUT: very very poor wi-fi keeps dropping, effectively disabling the unit - and the app is complicated and ineffective. This aspect really requires urgent improvement, with the manufacturer contacting owners for upgrades.

We used this for many weeks and I have to say we really didn’t see any significant difference in our bedroom. It is very quiet in operation but in terms of air quality I never really felt any difference in either quality of sleep or the general ambience of the room. It’s not helped by the fact the device has no sensor to be able to tell you whether air quality is better or worse and the app that comes for the device doesn’t do much than turn it on or off. Because of this I couldn’t recommend this product.
