Good quality drive
Good quality drive as always. Been buying them for years to run in a home NAS system and had very few issues despite constant usage.

A High Quality, Fast and Quiet SMR Drive
Near silent on idle, a little noisy when writing or during intensive reads. Beware the lower capacity models which are actually louder, although 10TB and more models are all relatively quiet. Build quality (from what I've read as well as a general impression) is extremely high. This is a non-shingled SMR drive, which gives it bonus points. Overall I have no hesitation recommending this as a NAS or general storage drive.

Good drive but noisy
Seagate 10 TB IronWolf: The usual high Seagate quality. Works well as a backup for my NAS. Read and write speeds are decent though not the fastest. The unit is as thick as it's possible for a 3.5" drive to be and still fit in a normal case enclosure - it went in with a bit of shoving. My only real criticism is that it is a bit clattery in operation. That's fine most of the time as it sits in a server in my home office but it is very noticeable if you are in there and anything accesses it. Still very good value for hte price I paid.

Easy Install In My Synology Nas !!!
I originally had two 4TB versions in my Synology Nas system but after about 12 months I was running out of space so purchased two of these 10TB ones, easy install into my Nas system, backed up Nas settings to usb stick first and backed up my 7TB,s media onto my pc. Changed over hard drives loaded setting from usb stick which was easy and quick, took a bit of time to reload all my media. I now have loads of space left for my aver expanding media collection, only little issue was as my Nas was situated behind out tv you could hear a clicking sound while the drives where being accessed, I have now moved the Nas into a cupboard in our hallway which has solved that miner issue.

Sold used drives for the same price as new.
Purchased a set of 4 new drives in new condition 1 failed a smart test and completely died so had to be returned. Smart tests on another drive showed that it had 65000 hours run time on it despite being sold as new.

Not silent disks. Horses for courses.
I find the 10TB disks to be reasonably noisy when heads are moving. That is not a criticism of the drives. It means that you would wish to use them in a NAS that is in a room that is not in general use, or in a cupboard. They create more noise that the 8TB version. It's acceptable, and it is something you need to be aware of if sound levels from your NAS are important to you.

I was looking for a a high capacity storage disk. This one came up with a reasonable price tag. It definitely serves my purpose.

Verkoper doet veel beloftes, UPS is onvriendelijk.

I recently installed two of these drives in my new Synology NAS, and they're just what I needed. A good blend of performance, capacity, and price. Thus far they've performed flawlessly, they're very quiet, were super easy to install, and I have no complaints at all. When my NAS requires upgrading, I'll be looking to the Seagate IronWolf NAS Internal Hard Drive in a larger capacity. I'd buy this drive again, and recommend you give it a look if you're in the market for NAS drives.
