ZINT MADE ME HAPPILY SWITCH FROM GREAT LAKES!
I was (the keyword being "was") using Great Lakes collagen hydrolysate for about 3 years. I recently found out about Zint as a result of someone posting about how great it was in a Facebook group that I'm a member of. I'm very particular about certain products; especially those that I use as supplements so I was initially a little wary about spending money to give it a try. However, I did my research before I decided to try Zint and I'm so glad I did. I found that: 1) Zint is a kosher certified (that's important to me), non-GMO (that's also important to me) supplemental product that comes from organic fed, pasture-raised cows and has NO hormones and NO preservatives just like the Great Lakes brand that I had been previously using, 2) Also like Great Lakes, Zint is absolutely tasteless and easily dissolves in cold or hot liquids making it perfect for blending into whatever I'm drinking or eating. In fact, Zint seems to be comparable to Great Lakes in every way except for the price. Zint is significantly cheaper which makes me happy. Oh, and it also comes in a bag instead of a can with a pour spout like Great Lakes. That’s not a problem at all for me; especially when I am saving money for an equally excellent product. Now for those of you who may have heard about collagen but weren't really sure what it was or if you needed it, this is not a scientific assessment, but if you're over 30 you probably do. If you smoke, use chemicals on your hair or nails, you probably do. If you're overweight, you probably need collagen. If you have arthritis, joint pain, dry or “crepey” (i.e., wrinkled) skin, you definitely need to use collagen hydrolysate as a supplement. You may see some advertisements for skin care products containing collagen. Don't waste your money. Collagen is best taken internally. For example, I was visiting my sister and her husband had been complaining about his knees bothering him. I shared my collagen with him and I kid you not he started getting more flexibility and relief from the pain within a week! The health benefits that we're supposed to receive from our food are, too often, missing. Certainly "fast food" takes a toll on us but even when we're trying to eat healthy it’s a gamble. We’re often eating vegetables that are nutritionally imbalanced because they’re grown in soil depleted of nutrients and laden with pesticides and a lot of people simply can't afford to eat 100% organically grown or grass-fed meat. I encounter a lot of "young" people in their 20s and 30s who, although they look healthy, are complaining about arthritis and aching joints in addition to a host of other ailments like hair falling out and brittle nails. What's up with that? Collagen hydrolysate provides us with the amino acids for protein that are essential to the maintenance of our bodies. It may seem mundane but when collagen isn't sufficiently supplied to your body it's like trying to continuously drive a car without oil; eventually it comes to a grinding halt. Collagen is basically the same product found in our bones, skin, and cartilage. Collagen needs to be provided to the body to help sustain bones, skin, and cartilage. A lot of our ancestors used to get their fix of collagen naturally with tasty bone broth, roasted bone marrow, stewed chicken and pig feet, oxtails, etc. And before you think or say, "Ewww!", just realize that they weren't in pain from uncooperative joints in their prime years the way a lot of us are. However, if you're averse to cooking animal parts every week or find that you can't eat enough of them to make a difference, get your collagen the quick and easy way. BOTTOMLINE:I find that when I supplement my diet with collagen hydrolysate I feel better and I look better so I’d rather use that than questionable pharmaceutical products (or even prescription meds) that often don’t work as well and are much more expensive. And when I supplement my diet with Zint collagen even my bank account looks better! Zint saves me money on a great product so I've made the switch!

Great Product, nonGMO, which is important to me.
I have tried other collagen supplement products, but the others were in capsule form, so they had to be swallowed individually. In comparison, it's much easier to mix Zint powder with my morning coffee and at the same time, increase my intake amount. With the Zint powder, I use about 1 Tbsp to 1.5 Tbsp per 10 Oz coffee mug. I never have a problem with dissolving any amount. I never tasted any difference, which I was surprised with back when I 1st tried this product back in February of 2016. I do find myself very picky with tastes & textures, so the lack of affecting my coffee''s flavor is phenomenal! Lol The one thing I keep on mind when ordering from the Amazon site, is the seller. Because the same products can be sold by different entities or "virtual" stores, I find it very important to add the seller info when rating the products, so that the product isn't counterfeit or tampered with. Sometimes people post such vastly different reviews but this maybe due to the seller's part. In this case, I've always made ordered Zint from Zint USA or Zint. I have been using this product faithfully since February, as mentioned above, and I do plan on posting updates on its effects. Products like these take time for the body to absorb & use in the proper form. Because this product should aid in hair, nails, & joints. . I want enough time for the hair & nails to grow out. I have, however, seen less breakage in my hair... just waiting to see if it grows in thicker. My joints tend to ache more in the winter months, so that's another reason why I plan to update in the future. ***UPDATE*** 3-23-17 Well since using, I can say I've had less joint pain, to where it's getting rarer for me to be in pain. I've gone this whole winter with very few days I'm in pain & those days aren't as painful as in the past. My hair seems to be thicker, which is awesome. It's as thick or thicker than when I was a teen. My nails don't seem to chip as much either. I'm a mechanic so I'm always working with my hands. My nails rarely ever break staight out but more split in layers (like a nail polish chip) & become flimsy... that's what I mean about chipping. It's almost rare now. With the skin, I can't say I've seen a direct improvement with just the Collagen. It was more when I started using Black Castor Oil for moisturizing & a diluted form of Apple Cider Vinegar with Essential Oils as an astringent for the last couple months, when I experienced clearer & more supple skin. I try to use only 1 product at a time for proof of effectiveness but in this case, with my skin & complexion, I was getting impatient. I apologize for that. I'mean going to continue using as stated in my original review just because of the improvements with joint pain alone. It doesn't cost that much & I see more benefit than harm or waste at this point.

I love this product!
I love this product. I put it in my coffee instead of creamer for a protein boost. This brand is high quality, and less expensive than others. There is no taste and it dissolves easily in my coffee. Update: after using this product for six months, my eyelashes are noticeably longer and fuller, and my nails are a LOT stronger. My nails have always been weak and thin, but now they are so strong, I have trouble clipping them. 😳 My skin is smoother too, but I switched skincare, so I can't be sure which one is responsible. Update: I recently moved to a different state. It was easier to drink regular coffee without the Collagen in it, so I packed it up, and the collagen went to storage with the rest of my pantry. At first I didn't make the connection, but my skin seemed to age over the two months that I was without it. My nails were brittle too. Thank goodness, my eyelashes didn't suffer (they're still nice and thick). After we moved into the new house, I started putting the collagen in my coffee again. First, let me say, although this doesn't add a taste, it does add a slight creaminess to the coffee. Ahhhh, I missed it! I was still thinking the skin and nail problem was due to stress, until I saw improvement when I renewed my coffee regimen. It has only been a few weeks, so I still have a way to go. I am looking forward to getting back the skin and nails that I had before the move.

New To Collagen - My New Protein Powder
I am new to collagen. (never have taken any other brand), I heard about this in The Performance Paleo Cookbook: Recipes for Training Harder, Getting Stronger and Gaining the Competitive Edge . I am generally healthy for a 41 year old :) I started doing crossfit a few months ago and was having a few small injuries (bicep) so I decided to try collagen. I like this product because: it has no taste/odor it dissolves fast in any temp liquid (I put it in my coffee and sometimes a green smoothie) it is from grass fed/finished cattle the price is relatively affordable some reviewers do not like the zip top bag but it doesn't bother me because I put some into a glass canning jar to keep in my cupboard and store the rest so i'm not opening and closing it all the time. does it work? well... my bicep did heal about a week after starting this (it was injured for two weeks before I started) so it seems to have helped but I can't be sure if it will help with my on again / off again back issue until I've been taking it for a while longer. would I buy it again? yes! even if it didn't help me heal or give me beautiful nails and hair, it is a great source of protein!! grass fed cattle?? no taste?? yes please!! I hate the flavor of stevia and other artificial sweeteners that are unfortunately almost always added to 'protein powders' so this is a great find for me. I was offered a small discount as a token of appreciation for posting an HONEST review. trust me - no one has 'bought' my review...I actually cannot stand all the fake reviews that have been growing on amazon. this used to be the place I came to read reviews to help me choose the best products for my family. now i'm not so sure if I can even trust them. too many single sentence 5 star misspelled reviews that seem to come from some fake positive review factory :/ if you feel the same, I assure you I am not a robot and I hope this review helps you. :)

It dosolves down pretty well and top with two sprinkles of mix of ...
I found this as a result of preparing for Gastric by pass surgery as part of a meal replacement liquid broth or gelatin drink..... It is perfrct it disolves well and takes on the flavors of the ingridence .... It has lots of benifits and a pleaseing smooth taste....... I have mixed 1 tbs in 6ozs of coconut milk added, 3 Tablespoons Hemp Protien Powder, 6 ozs hot water, 1tbsp of a spice blend of turmeric, lemon grass, mustard seed, coriander seed, cumin .... It dosolves down pretty well and top with two sprinkles of mix of nutmeg, ginger, cinnamon and cardimon.... Light tasty for no salt with a very subtle Thai soup taste..... I have tried different things as a substitute meal for the no salt or sugar soup and gelitan meals... This product is perfect for me as it addeds 6 grams of protien per Tablespoon to the any recipe or meal. Plus it is great for hair and skin and bone joint and muscle health. Every one facing this surgery knows the importance of suppliments. Post surgery the frist few weeks of only liquids will be the most challanging but with this prodict I thinm I am going to be fine. Protien first and hydrate hydrate hydrate is going to be key....And this product is allowing me the protien along with variety in a very limiting Plan that you drink all your mdals in... I tried it with herbal green decafe teas to thicken them and as added protien and other dietary value......Excellent I will be using this from here on out even after the liquid phase is done as I am 55 and skin care is now something I got to think about too...all the amino acids in this stuff all around win win joint and muscle health too.

Good quality--good price. I will definitely order this again. See EDIT: regarding a subseqent order.
I ordered this product for the first time and have been using it for several weeks now. I am very pleased with the quality. A big plus for me is that it is from grass-fed and finished cattle. Although its not labeled as organic, it is non-GMO, another important consideration. There is a marked difference from another brand of collagen I have tried. The Zint product is pure white and dissolves beautifully in liquids and has no detectable taste or odor. In fact, when you add it to coffee, it sits on the top of the liquid for a moment and then quickly melts away from the edges until it is completely dissolved in a second or two. You don't even need to stir it. Its rather fascinating to watch. The other brand makes little clumps and has to be blended in before eventually dissolving. I'm using it to add extra protein to my meals. If I get other benefits eventually, that will be great, but I'm happy with the product regardless. It doesn't hurt either that the price for the 2 pound bag (I paid $21) is better than anything comparable I've seen. Hopefully that is not just an introductory price. EDIT: 2017. On my last order in spring of 2016, I was disappointed to find that the price has doubled and the quality of this product has changed. The bag I got smelled like cow, and it no longer dissolved without stirring in the mesmerizing way it had previously, nor was the flavor neutral any longer. I could not use it without hiding it in something with a strong flavor, and even then I was aware of it. It was a major change, enough that I complained to Amazon about it. I was refunded my purchase price, but I will not order this product again. I suppose I could have merely gotten a bad bag, however, I read some reports that suggested the manufacturing process had been changed causing the flavor and odor changes. I did not follow up on that with the company. I just purchased a different brand the next time.

5TH 2LB BAG, I DO LIKE THIS BRAND OF COLLAGEN
This is my 3rd 2 pound package that I have purchased. It seems to me that the formula has changed. When I opened the package this morning to put it into a glass resealable container I had a dust cloud that went everywhere. This had not occurred previously. Also when mixing it, it clumped up in my glass which it has never done that. (I did nothing different this morning) After much effort to get it to dissolve...I know there is no taste, but there is a slight taste to it AND even that slight taste and the viscosity of the drink has changed. I would have given it a 5 star on the previous two purchases, but not on this purchase. Zint did you change a good product? Or did I just get a bad lot on the collagen this time? I am updating my original post. Through emails directly with Zint (purchased through Amazon) Zint discovered that there was a possible issue with my bag of collagen protein powder so they replaced it. I was very grateful since the cost has gone up. The new bag was like the previous bags that I had received....in that it dissolved easily and quickly in cold water and it is back to a hint of a taste. Thank you Zint for replacing the expensive bag of collagen. In using this product since April 2016, I would say that I have noticed an improvement in my skin..wrinkles are less. I believe I have had improvement in other areas...but not crazy noticeable like other people have stated.

Feeling the benefits!
Disclaimer: I was offered a discount on my next purchase of this product in exchange for an honest, unbiased review. The review below is a review of the product I purchased at the full listed price: After reading about the benefits of gelatin and collagen, I decided to invest in a powered supplement to mix with drinks for skin and joints improvement. At first I purchased Great Lakes gelatin in the red can and used it for almost two months. The good: It added a lot of body to a drink. The bad: 1) That smell and 2) Dissolving it was a nightmare even in hot liquid. It was very sticky and stuck to my cups and spoons, which needed to be washed right after use or it would harden and be difficult to remove later. Needless to say, I was tired of fighting with gelatin and decided to try collagen hydrolysate. I chose Zint because it is from grass-fed beef and it's cheaper than the other brand's collagen. I'm a very satisfied customer! It is odorless and tasteless (though I have yet to drink it in plain water). This collagen dissolves beautifully in cold, warm, and hot liquids. The only liquid I had a little trouble with it dissolving in was cold whole milk. I'd stir and stir but it still left little, soft clumps. I contacted Zint and they let me know to let it sit for about 10 minutes and then it will dissolve completely in the milk. It worked! So, no more problems here! As far as effects after almost two and a half months of use, the pain in my knees and the carpal tunnel in my hands from computer use has greatly reduced. I'm still waiting on the skin benefits I was looking for. I think the body puts the collagen on internal parts before it gets to external parts like skin and hair. Means things like joints and tendons may be healed and replenished before any of the collagen goes to skin or hair. So I will keep using this collagen because I can tell it's working.
