Magic! Boxie Cat Air Saved My Sanity!
If I could marry this litter I would! I have tried EVERYTHING. Name it I’ve done it. Litter box types, litter types, cleaners, etc. I have a male cat with behavioral peeing issues. He won’t use a box even if he finds his own last pee and poop in the box from less than an hour prior, it has to be fresh to his kitty nose or he pees on the floor. Luckily I trained that easily to be on pee pads next to the box not the actual floor. I have a self cleaning box that rotates once every hour. No matter what clumping litter I used if I didn’t take the whole box apart, which isn’t easy, every other day and dump half the litter out and add atleast half new, if not all, then he pees on floor bc he can smell the loose dirty litter pieces that crumble off the clumps or those tiny pieces of feces that never scoop. I switched to this new boxie cat pro Air. I had heard of boxie cat before with their pancaking urine litter and that won’t work in my self cleaning box bc it’s too big when pancaked. I found this new Air version that clumps like normal and was very intrigued to finally get to try it. First 2 weeks: I literally could have cried when I realized it had been 2 weeks and my male cat hadn’t peed once outside the box with me only cleaning the box and swapping the full litter out for new on garbage nights once a week. I empty the compartment that collects the pee and poop clumps every other day but otherwise I stopped having to clean the actual box as well every other day. Seriously I could spend an hour telling anyone why this litter is the greatest creation of all time but I’ll make a pro and con list to simplify. Pro List: -no smell! NOTHING not even that clean litter smell once the initial new dump of litter is settled after about 10min I forget I have a litter box and it’s in the main hallway bathroom I walk by 20+ times a day. My houseguests used to be able to tell me that could smell even just the existence of a litter box even when fresh new litter was in. I switched to boxie cat air and my friends asked if I got rid of my cats. They couldn’t believe the litter was there. They stood in the bathroom next to it asking why they couldn’t smell it. -probiotic/anticbacterial litter. I use to be able to smell urine on my cats feet after they had freshly peed. It’s gone. They have clean litter feet. -tracking is down to the occasional couple pieces once past the rug next to the litter. Even with my female cat who is the queen of tracking litter in her paws. Literally use to have to daily vacuum from guest bath to the kitchen and then wiped down coffee table, couches and kitchen table bc I could see where she’d been by the litter trail. It’s gone! There’s only some litter on the rug from her usual dramatic exits of how hard she can jump from box to floor like a madwoman and by some I mean I use to vacuum the bathroom daily so people weren’t walking on litter. I can wait til my weekly full cleaning and it’s all on the little litter rug. -idk what it is about it but this is the first litter my female cat stopped playing with. She used to dig a until a little Mountain was outside the litter box and it drove me insane. She quit on day 1 of new litter and has never done it again. It’s been about 4 months now I believe. -unlike other litters this 1 tiny 6.5lb bag lasts me a whole month. I use only 1/4 of the bag each time I swap litter once a week. I fill below the recommended inches and still no smell. I definitely thought it wouldn’t be enough and am amazed it is. Old litters I could get a giant 20lb or bigger container and use it in a month trying to stop odors by adding in new. -my biggest personal pro is this stopped by male cats behavioral peeing. He will not use a “dirty box” and I mean he could go pee and come back before the hour is up for the self clean cycle to be done and he won’t pee bc his old pee is still there. Not anymore! He doesn’t care is the other cats poop is still there. He cannot smell it bc the litter is that good!!! Cons: -initially my con was the cost. $20 for 6.5lbs seemed so expensive and to go up a size made it about $40 I was worried I’d like the litter and spend so much a month to use it. Nope! Boxie cat air proved me wrong. -maybe different results if you don’t have self scooping box or scoop daily. My results are skewed by not actually scooping the litter myself. -I can’t marry it I wish I could come up with more cons to seem like I’m not biased but I am. This litter is magic. It saved my sanity. Probably saved my relationship bc he is not a cat lover and the floor peeing was crossing a line of comfort to live with. Also want to note my cats are both out of the norm and I can ignore instructions to transition food and litter. They love new things and literally wait for me to move from cleaning the litter to jump in an fresh box. I did not transition to this litter. I had 1 day results bc neither of them care what I put in the box. So those with pickier cats may have a longer and more drawn out transition then I experienced.

No Smell, No Dust
This litter is absolutely wonderful. My most stubborn cat took to it right away and now he prefers it over crystals. I was using World’s Best, but this litter was recommended based on the non-mess. Now, my cats do dig, so it does get outside the litter box, but easy clean up with sweeping or a vacuum. I haven’t experienced the smell of kitty piddle in quite some time which is a feat since I have four carnivorous cuties. The smell of poo can linger depending of if your cat buries or if they just dropped a particularly nasty one, but no longer than 10 minutes max. And, no dust. You just pour, and no dust arises to choke you. So nice. It also LASTS. Four cats and I only need to change the litter once every three weeks or so in the most used litter box. That’s amazing to me since I was previously using Pretty Litter and it didn’t last 3 days even with me cleaning it every day. Yes, it does stick to the sides of litter boxes, but that depends on the material of the litter box. In my self-cleaning one, it’s made of silicone, so the litter does not stick. However, I’d rather have the litter stick to the sides than outside the litter box. And if you break up the sticking a bit, toss some litter on there, and then scrape it up, it comes up fine. Another bonus, when I change out the litter and I rinse the litter box, this litter comes off so easily; to the point, where I don’t need to use a detergent if I’m in a hurry. As for the cats trying to eat the litter…haven’t experienced that at all.

Falls short of Boxie expectations
I’ve had cats for 30 years, this is by far the worst litter I’ve ever used. I have a very large cat box with deep sides for my 2 cats. I scoop the box every day. This litter gets gummed up on the bottom where my cats urinate and it makes it incredibly challenging to scoop. It takes me twice as long to scoop than using the BoxiePro clay litter. This litter also does not do well with odor control, it gets very strong after one day. Amazon substituted this litter once when my normal litter was out of stock, never again. The only positive is the fact that it is lightweight as far as litters go. I will be going back to the BoxiePro clay from here on out. I can’t say enough good things about the BoxiePro CLAY litter.

Unfashionable smell
Where.to.begin. I’ve had cats my entire 60+ years on this plant and I’m fairly confident I have tried every imaginable litter available in that time. Some more than once! (I’m a slow learner). Like this Boxiecat Air litter. What It claims: virtually track fee, dust free, hard clumping, and an ability to reduce unwanted litter box odors due to bacteria and ammonia. What I found: it is not ‘virtually track free’ by any stretch of the imagination. The litter itself is very, very small particles that cling to my cats fur and tail and toes and because it’s so light, it is tracked everywhere. HOW she manages to wear it through the house, up stairs, and across carpeting to deposit piles of it on my bedspread is a real head scratcher. But she does! And the smell!! Oy vey, it’s the worst of any litter I have ever used - even plain clay! At least with the other brands, the smell were recognizable and identifiable. What makes this smell so SO bad is yet another mystery. And the worst part is, once a little of the litter in the box starts to smell, it “infects” all the other litter in the box so getting three months out of a bag is a joke. And it’s just so bad I cannot even describe the odor. Just awful. I give it full props for being dust proof. No cloud of dust when it poured. Yay. As for the clumping, it definitely does clump hard. Yet even with a SOLID 3” of litter in the box, the clumps manage to make it all the way to the bottom and they “stick” to the bottom of the box, which makes removing them difficult and inevitably the clumps break making a lot of little clumps throughout which contribute to the for issue. I cannot recommend this litter. I really wish I could because I’ve purchased two bags now and am completely dissatisfied with it. Back to World’s Best litter. (It really is “the best”!)

Not bad for a natural litter! Has some caveats though.
So I have been using Boxie cat, specifically the Pro formulation, for around a year now and I love it! When I saw they had a lightweight version I decided to give it a go! The quick take is that It has been pretty good! Odors are well controlled, it clumps well, tracking is about the same as regular litter, and it looks like regular litter! The bag easily lasted me a month. So why is it missing a star? Well it's usable life might sneak up on you faster than you expect. Here's the thing, I've been using the boxie Pro version for about a year because it's been the best litter I've tried, partly because it's clay based. Clay litters are hard to replace because clay can absorb so much moisture and keep it held, which is especially helpful in humid areas like florida. So because the lightweight formula is primarily made of barley (per the package), it's absorbing properties work a little different. It can stick more, and can clump on the bottom of the litter box more. But after some time went by, a good three weeks I think, I started to notice it was sticking to the litter box. Little by little it started to stick more and more, till it was nearly a solid clump underneath, and I started to notice the urine-ammonia smell more. Now I'm still impressed in its overall performance for a lightweight formulation! I just wish it was a little bit less sticky for the box in terms of longer litter changes.

The best ever cat litter I've ever tried
I've tried many different cat litters. The worst are the pellets, not because it would not work (because it does work perfectly well) but because of the NOISE it makes when kitty cat scratches her litter box to cover her bodily waste. The best is this BoxiePro Air cat litter. My main concern was the dust that came out of it, polluting the air for the little lungs of my cat. Since I found this product, we all are happier. And, it completely covers the smells from the cat litter and clumps hard around liquid waste. It's extremely lightweight and easy to clean. You get great value for your money, and you can keep on buying it over and over again.

Dust-free and Long-lasting, would recommend this litter
I've been trying to find the "best" litter for a multi-cat household, and so far, this one has been working well. I have a few areas that I care about: 1) Dust/Cats' Safety - Far better than average This litter is the closest to dust-free of all that I have tried (silica, clay, pellet). They all say dust-free, but this one and pellet litter are the only ones I've tried that actually uphold that claim in my experience. It does not seem to agitate my cat that is respiratory-sensitive, so that is a big plus. Compared to other litters, it seems like this one is the safest since it is way less dusty and assumed to be made of plants, but hard to verify considering that ingredients are proprietary formula. 2) Cost - Better than average I have 4 cats and 11.5 lb bag is lasting ~3-4 weeks. For other litters, I usually have to dump the entire litter out each week or more, but this one actually clumps really well so the entire box does not have to be dumped as often. I can dump a box every 2-3 weeks, I scoop daily. 3) Smell - Slightly better than average With clay litter, I can usually smell things on occasion, in the least it makes my house smell like clay litter. With this litter, I can smell things on occasion but less than clay litter. It kind of has a chicken coop smell at times, but the scent does not stick in the room like clay litters which makes it very easy to mask and generally unnoticeable. 4) Tracking - Average There is definitely tracking with this litter. The only litter that hasn't tracked for me though is pellet litter, so I would put this on par with others. Note on clumping - this clumps very well! Only trouble is it kind of sticks to the box, making it harder to scoop. I'd recommend a sifting litter box and then it is easier to scrape off the tougher clumps.

Does not make a solid clump at all, just collects in a wet messy mound.
This litter is decent with scent control, but gums up on the bootom of my rubber lining in my auto-cleaning litterbox. It's awful... it just collects in a huge wet mound that sits there and won't clump solid enough to roll into the waste collection when the machine turns. So every day I go to it at least twice and use a scoop to scratch it away & detach it from the lining so it will collect. Defeats the purpose of the self cleaning box.
