Title says it all. You wouldn't think there would be much difference, until you use one, but this will make a clear, smudge proof mark on any surface where other pencils that CLAIM the same ability either rub right off or won't mark at all. Pica is the best by a country mile, accept no substitutes, you get what you pay for. BUY ONCE CRY ONCE!

These are nice. Better than the crappy home depot pencils that they sell. They are nice to have when working with tile as the mark does come off as easy as some other pencils. I bought one for myself and liked it so much I had them ordered for guys in the shop.

I cannot speak highly enough about these pencils. It never leaves my side when I'm working. The quality of the construction is tight. The built in sharpener is amazing and creates a good angle on the point. I have dropped these several times and the lead did not break. These are durable. Great for detailed layout and rough cuts. The clip has held up while inserting in toolbags, pouches, and pants pockets. Have hung these on ladders while climbing and no broken parts yet. Never had any issues on the job with these. I don't know how I lived without these for so long.

Good product marks well on variety of materials

Love it. Everybody should have one. Marks with very little downward pressure. Convenient compared to pulling off a marker cap. This dry pen is always ready to go. Sharpens easily with the built in sharpener. Game changer.

This has been real nice when marking up sheets of drywall to cut. It's really nice how thick and sturdy the lead is. It really holds up nice on osb subfloor. The other refill colors also work well in different surfaces that normal lead doesn't write on like wet metal. Don't forget about the built in sharpener on the bottom of the holder.

Wish I knew about these years and years ago. Well worth the price. Grab the refills and you are all set. Might buy a few more to put around different areas of my house as I do projects.

Saw a guy at work using one of these for a layout and it worked awesome … and trust me when I say doing layout on concrete when it’s wet in some places and dusty is a struggle and nothings worse that doing all your measurements and marking your lines only to get them rubbed or washed away ….. the stuff they use in these leads do not wash away easily and actually marked right through the already wet and dirty spots …. It was a monkey see monkey do purchase that I was very happy with and has come in handy multiple times where the trusty sharpie fails or gets wet
